I think smoking while pregnant or around your children is child abuse.
I know of a child with severe asthma who has already missed a ton of school. She is a smart girl, but it is tough for her when she's constantly sick. The kicker: the parents and her stuff always smells of smoke. Yup, that is helping her lungs. Also, she was a micropreemie so you know her lungs aren't great to start with. If you put poison in their food it is abuse -- but not in the air? Help me with this one. I cannot comprehend.

Re: Flammable
I completely agree with you. Smoking in general makes no sense to me (you're going to pay for something that is going to harm you?), but then to expose your children is even more wrong on so many levels.

My Blog
This paragraph describes my H exactly from start to finish. I make comments about how sad it is when I open a kid's backpack at school and the smoke smell just pours out of it, and he always says "Yeah, I was that kid." Now, at 24, his lungs are royally fvcked and I'm convinced he has some sort of COPD because of it. He has trouble running or doing strenuous things, is always coughing up phlegm, and is generally on the brink of pneumonia at any given moment.
So judge away, you get no side-eye from me.
