embroidering a christmas stocking...

how?  I can hoop it but I can't fold it back so it won't embroider the backside too.  Is my only option to undo the seam and sew it back when I'm done?

They are just cheap-o stockings but they are for my husband's grandma.  She has all of our names on a stocking and these are for the 2 new babies.  WHY did she pick me to do it this year?  lol

    Is it lined?  I would probably take out the lining, separate the front and back and then put it all back together after you embroider it.

    Nope - it's not lined.  Just a cheap old felt stocking.  No furry cuff either.

    i pulled apart mine last year. probably not the most efficient but i am new to embroidery and i found it easy to undo it, stretch it over the embroidery ring and then close it up after. whatever works lol

    That's what I'm thinking.  There's no easy way to do it and google didn't help, lol
