i noticed in the PIP post that you both have irregular periods?
just wanted a "success story" to share with you...
i had talked to a doc before about my irregular periods...while i showed no "real signs" of infertility, if i wanted to start getting tested i could..but i should first try for a year w/o success before pursuing it, because i was young, and it was expensive.....but i was told that if i wanted to try, i should "really" try..because my chances were low. i had my periods anywhere between 28 days to 90+ days all my life, with an average of 37-45-ish days, and because of that, it meant i ovulated "less than the average woman", which ultimately, lowers my chances.
h and i decided that our plan would be to "half-try" for half a year, "really try" for another year..and if things didn't work out, we would pursue it. we were really lucky since we got KTFU the 5th month of half-trying.
i didn't want to temp, and do all that good stuff, so i just tracked my periods...we would do "it"
on CD10, and every other day until i got my period.....but of course, we weren't "good" at it, and sometimes we went two or so days w/o it...
eventually (obv), it worked out....so keep your heads up! i would love to have more KTFU nesties ![]()
Re: LB & cdmay
Until the past six months or so my periods were extremely regular, since my first period. Always 28-29 days. Until this year, there were probably 5 periods total that didn't conform to that, so it's weird and worries me. Maybe i should just chalk it up to stress, but i think that usually that delays ovulation, not shortens it...
We plan to adopt either way, but i am opposed to fertility treatment, so if it doesn't work, it doesn't work, but i really want it to work.
