I feel old...but I like it

I'm spending my Sunday folding laundry, watching gardening shows on TV, drinking coffee. Yes, gardening shows. I'm turning into my mom and grandmother and I have no issues about it whatsoever. A few years ago, I would have thought I was totally lame, but now, I'm proud to say it lol, because my garden will be GREAT hehe.

What makes you feel old now that you are happy with? (you know, aside from the being married and/or having kids)?

Re: I feel old...but I like it

  • All the cooking that I do makes me feel old, but I am completely happy with it. It's a big deal to me that I make healthy meals on a regular basis and we only eat out about once a week. I feel like I'm already a better cook than either of my parents.

  • Today I spent almost 3 hours clipping and re-organizing my coupons and doing laundry.  That made me feel old.

Also, DH and I stay in on Fridays and play board games and watch movies anymore (b/c of our budge).  It makes me feel a little old to go to bed early on the weekend!

  • being in bed by 9:30 and feeling if I stay up past 10 that it's 'late' Stick out tongue

  • We went out last night and came home around 10:30 because we were tired. That made me feel old.
  • We are in bed watching tv and winding down around 8-9 on a regular basis.  Our friends make fun of us but I used to get up between 4-5 and we got in the habit of it.  It definitely makes us feel old.
  • Going to bed early.

H and I used to stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning.

But with his training now, he's up somewhere between 4am and 6am depending on the day, so we go to bed around 10....and I'm OK with that.
