Are you cooking/baking anything special this weekend?
I am thinking about making some muffins. And you?
Re: Are you cooking/baking anything special this weekend?
I made a gorgeous steak last night that I got from the Waitrose butcher...unbelievably YUMMY!
I am going to make some more pumpkin puree so will figure out something to bake with it.
Making lasagna tonight for dinner. Considering the price of things like beef, Italian sausage, ricotta, cottage cheese, or mozzarella cheese, this is certainly a special dish.
If BabyD lets me, I might bake something tomorrow.
You cant find pumpkins there?
That's funny, I was in a baking mood too (and I'm never in a cooking/baking mood). Maybe it's the cooler temps (or the fact that I'm actually home this weekend).
Anyway, I made pumpkin spice cookies last night. Don't be impressed... they were from a mix, not scratch, but still, tasty!

Just squash, not the type of pumpkins I can find back home.
This post is making me hungry!
I'm not a baker, just cooking chicken with lemon, lots of onions, garlic, ginger and hot pepper and a bone marrow as an appetizer. H is away so I'm happy to eat what I feel like having! I'm making a burger and fries for M.
Is it butternut? A lot of squashes work and taste like pumpkins in cooking. You could definitely make and use puree from a butternut the same you would a pumpkin.
