s/o holiday cards: worth sending out?
If we don't have any kids or pets and most of our family/friends are local, is it pointless to make photo holiday cards to send out?
I really want to do this, but I'm married to the Grinch, so H thinks it's pointless. He thinks holiday cards are meant for people with kids and that we don't really have anyone to send them to.
FWIW, I was going to use a vacation picture of the two of us.
Thoughts?
Re: s/o holiday cards: worth sending out?
Who do you send your cards to? Honestly, I think most of our friends would look at them and then toss them right away.

After spending the last hour looking at pictures I can't find anything that's card worthy.
Maybe next year...
FWIW, husky (and everybody) i keep every single one of my cards i get during the holidays (and birthdays, etc)--forever. i put them up on the fireplace throughout the season, and when it's time to take down decorations, i take the cards down too, put them in a big envelope, write the year, and stick it in the box with all my decorations. at the start of every year, i usually look at some of the older cards, just for fun.

I like getting cards and keep them all displayed through the holidays...I think that's what most people do?
DH's fam is all on east coast, so they would def appreciate it and I have some fam in MI. But, I'd send them to all my fam and friends here too, even the ones I see every day. My biggest problem is being lazy/procrastinating and not getting to them b/f it's too late.
We don't have kids, and only one cat, but, I think we're going to do cards this year. There are so many people that I haven't had a chance to talk to in so long.
The one time I did this, my senior year of high school, I even wrote a little personalized note on everyone's card. I'm not sure I have time for that this year.

If you want, I say go for it.
We don't send any out because almost everyone we know lives close by. Not worth the effort IMO.
my currently-reading shelf:
We send cards out. This year we're using the list of people we invited to our wedding, my cousins, and the friends who we invite to our holiday party.
Even local folks like getting cards
I always buy the stuff to make our cards each year...and I know last year they didn't get out. :P If you want to do it, I say do it!
I'm thinking we need to get a picture of us with Ivan sitting on the front porch of our new house...although I'm tempted to rake up all our leaves right now and bury us in the them and take pictures. Hmm...maybe I'll do that this weekend just for kicks.
Jennlin- you totally have cute baby belly you need to send pics of to peeps!
