People standing on the side of the road begging, I mean asking, for money?
Another old nestie with a new name.
Re: Do you give money to...
No to both charity workers and to homeless people.
The homeless people begging in Pensacola has become a major issue and the city is trying to start a campaign telling people not to give them money.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?

No. I went grocery shopping for a homeless man on the side of the road once in college, but I've never given money.
ETA: I do however give to every charity imagineabe at Publix. lol
No. I have given water or crackers before but not cash... not that I ever carry cash on me. Plus, i'm kind of crazy and i'm slightly convinced that if I stop the person is going to try to pull me out of my car and steal it/kill me. (I know that's not normal.)
I also wish Publix wouldn't let people set up outside of the store. It drives me nuts, I just want to get my groceries and go back to being a hermit inside of my apartment.
I actually think that's a fairly legitimate concern. I just got told about a carjacking incident & now I'm all paranoid because of his story.
I don't give money. I'm kind of a scrooge. I give money to Team In Training & pay my $5 to charity to wear Jeans on Fridays, but that's about it.
