I voted no, but I have a tiny tree outside my door that looks like a tiny Christmas tree. I might buy some spray flock this year and put a few cheapo ornaments on it. None for my real, indoor Christmas tree, though.

i don't understand the point..

my gma has a white tree and it's beautiful.. but it isn't flocked. i don't like it.

yes, my gma's tree is awesome. she has gold/white/red birds all over it and i think it looks perfect every year. but i also dig her style!

can somebody tell me what flocked is? i'm too lazy to look it up (lots of catching up to do still!)

It's powdery stuff that is fuzzy, white (comes in other colours, but for trees, i think that's all that people would use), and kind of powdery. It's sprayed or sprinkled on tress (real or artificial). You know the fuzzy stuff on some cards, or on shirts sometimes? That's flocking, too.

how do you clean it up?

I think when it's on trees it adheres to the leaves, but the application would be done in a garage or somewhere with a concrete floor that's easy to clean (i gather from the google photos). I've used flocking (like in the picture) for card-making and the clean up is akin to glitter (use a scrap paper underneath, sweep it up and clean up the rest with a cloth, if necessary).

it just seems like a lot of effort. i mean, yeah, it looks cool...but to decorate a tree? seems messy.
