AW: My First Completed Knitting Project (PIP)
My MIL taught me to knit while she was here a few weeks ago and bought me all the supplies to get started. This is my second completed project, but first I did all by myself. I made it for our future baby some day. I think it came out so cute, and I can't wait to start my next projects, a Santa hat for our baby niece and an infinity scarf for my BFF for Christmas!

I'd love to learn to knit or crochet, but I don't have any family that know how and I'm too scared to try from YouTube or a book. I need to be able to ask questions!

Lindsay, there is a crafts board on the nest that is really great. They answered my questions when I first learned how to knit from youtube.

Lindsay, you tube has been very helpful to me in watching how to do things since I forgot some after my MIL left. Also, the first kit she bought me is called "I Taught Myself Knitting" and it came with the instruction book which includes some beginner patterns as well as all the starter needles and accessories, and it was very useful in learning.
That is adorable. Future Baby will love it :-)
I can crochet, the basic stitch. My grandmother taught me before she passed away. DH bought me one of those 'teach yourself' kits for knitting but I couldn't 'get it' out of a book. I never thought to try YouTube.
