We had a great day yesterday. Derek stayed late at his side job on Saturday and got nearly everything done, so instead of going in yesterday he's there for a bit this afternoon. Which is awesome, because it meant we got to spend the day together yesterday.
We went out to breakfast (Cora's for the Canadians) and then hit up Costco to get him a new pair of glasses and Home Depot for more kitchen supplies. We tackled some wiring together and then Derek did some staining while I hit up the grocery store. Then we relaxed on the couch catching up on TV and watching movies on Netflix.
Tonight cooking and cleaning! We've decided to focus on tackling a small project each night this week, as we have a TON of little things that need to get done. Hopefully it will be a productive week!
How was everyone's weekend? Recovering from the time change?
Re: Happy Monday!
This is the fun time change though - I feel more productive and on the ball for that extra hour. When spring rolls around, losing the hour makes me extra cranky (at least it happens when I'm on March Break!).
I'm taking a JAM day today (basically the school gets given money for a supply teacher so I can go mark) so I get to sit at home with my massive stack of marking and finish it all up. Tonight, I have a friend coming over for dinner and we're going to plan our annual Christmas craft day.

Hello Monday. We had a fairly productive weekend. Between golfing and swimming lessons and the gym yesterday, my body is aching this morning though. A bath last night definitely helped though. I did get some work done yesterday, but not as much as I wanted, so lots to do today.
I'm also struggling to come up with a good birthday present idea for DH for Wednesday. He's frustrating to buy for since he usually just buys whatever he wants for himself. And he's already asked his parents for some of the other things I was thinking of. Gah. Quickly running out of time!

Happy Monday ladies.
Well the time change is ok. It's great not driving into work in the dark, however my kids haven't gotten the memo that in the fall you fall behind. I even put them to bed 15 minutes (each day added an extra 15) earlier for 4 nights in a row, so I thought it would work. Nope, I was up at 5 again this morning. Hopefully they adjust soon.
Today I am trying to get lots of work done, and am searching the web for a bathing suit for Zach (he's such a chub his bathing suite doesn't fit), and Rash Guard shirts for the boys. I need to order asap since we leave in less then 2 weeks for Florida.
That's the extent of my Monday, have a great day ladies!
Good morning! Friday night we did have dinner at a great Mexican restaurant (Casa Oaxaca for the D.C. ladies), but the rest of the weekend was quiet. We did a few chores, but we mostly tried to spend time outside.
Josh is on his way to visit his brother in Texas, so I'm on my own for a few days. But before he left, he helped me with the laundry and cooked up some chicken parm for my dinner for the next few days. I'm totally the kind of person who would slum it and just have cereal for dinner left to my own devices. The guy looks out for me (it's a good thing he enjoys cooking since I don't--runs in the family, though, since the brother he's visiting is a chef!).
And now to slog through Monday. Have a good one, all!
Happy Monday everyone!
I am in a horrible funk where I hate my job. But being an almost 6 months pregnant, full time college student, I think I'm probably stuck for now. It's kind of frustrating.
I finished the first Hunger Games book this weekend and now I HAVE TO go find the 2nd and 3rd. Once again, an awesome series I waited entirely too long on to start reading!
Today I'm up early, getting our student tickets for the BSU vs. TCU game this Saturday. Should be freezing but fun! And finally, in baby news, I can now feel him moving on both sides of my stomach at the same time. Talk about a trip.
Have a great day everyone!
My weekend was alright. Saturday I was pretty tired and had to nap. Yesterday I went for a slightly under 7 mile run and then we had dinner at The Keg for DH's grandma's 85th birthday.
This morning I think I'm paying for my long run yesterday. I went to the gym and could barely get by on the elliptical and the bike. Hoping work is pretty low key today.
The roofers are here. There is so much noise I feel so bad for my cats. I hope they aren't too freak out. One is under the bed and the other is behind the water heater. Poor kitties.
Not only did DS not get the daylight saving time memo, but he's going through another growth spurt I think. He was up every 2 hours last night and eating full meals each time. I did get to sleep, because DH was in the dog house, so he got up all night with DS.
Tonight is a super low key TV night. Hopefully DS gets back on a normal sleep schedule soon. He was doing so well, too.
All weekend was major cleanup and I feel so much better now that most of the house is clean. Although, I do find that the mess really just moves, since we have no storage in our house. Our basement game room takes a huge hit.
Good morning! My weekend was pretty boring. Saturday I cleaned house, did laundry, and took all the Halloween decorations down.
Sunday Jason had a few friends over for the Bronco's game so a made a nice spread of snacks and watched the game with them. I also did meal planning and went grocery shopping. Exciting weekend, huh!?
We had a busy weekend. Kyle's birthday was Friday so we went out for dinner and drinks with some friends. Then I cooked like a crazy person until his official party on Saturday night. I would guess that we had around 20 people show up. It was a great time and definitely worth the effort.
Yesterday was recovery day. We lounged around a lot while doing laundry and some light housework. Unfortunately we're both still exhausted today because we both slept terribly last night. Tonight will probably be another quiet night.
Morning ladies. This weekend was really good. It's the first weekend in a long time where I haven't had to work at all, so I am well rested and ready to tackle the week. Friday, B and I went to this Brazilian Steak House, which was kinda meh. We thought we had a coupon, but it turned out the coupon wasn't good on Friday nights. We both agree that there's no need to go back to actually use the coupon.
Saturday, I went to a huge art fair with my mom. I hadn't seen her in ages, so it was good to hang out. Then B and I went to go see Tower Heist. I highly recommend it. It has a great cast and was written/directed (?) by the same people who did Oceans 11.
Yesterday, I lounged around and read most of the day. I haven't been reading much because I've been working so much, and it was great to get back into it.
This morning I dropped my car off on the way to work. It needs new brakes, and may have a few other issues. I'm dreading the phone call later today that tells me what it's going to cost.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Good morning!
Preston is not sure when to go to bed and when to wake up with this new time...but I can't blame him because I was ready for bed at 8pm last night. I do love being able to drive to work with the sun shinning.
Today we have soccer pracice and a soccer meeting afterwards. I am still trying to do as much work at work this week as possible to prepare for Jordan's surgery next week and me being out. I have been really productive this morning so hopefully I can keep it up.
I had a great weekend playing tourist with my sister. She went home this morning and I miss her already.
Jim did all the laundry super late last night, so all I really have to do is get groceries this evening.

Good morning ladies! I am so tired today. I had a headache for most of yesterday and Olivia woke up at 2:45 and didn't go back to sleep until 5. DH was the one that stayed up to get her back to sleep but I'm still exhausted. So grateful for my coffee this morning.
We had a busy weekend but still got to spend time at home yesterday. Off to a meeting but I hope you all have a great day.
Good afternoon!
Darian didn't get the time change memo either. That coupled with a party we had yesterday threw off his nap schedule and it's still kinda wacky today. I hope he gets back into his normal routine soon. Just when I thought I had him figured out!
Today I've got a load of housework to catch up on. I let stuff slide while we were getting ready for the party this weekend so today I'm paying the price. I'm hoping to get a chance to go out for a walk or something because it's looking pretty gorgeous outside.
