Morning!

Happy Monday IN's! Normally, this would not be a good day, but we're heading to the states on Thursday so I am ready to get this week rolling.

What are your plans for the day?

QOTD: If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?

We're headed to the Maldives on Christmas Eve!

Re: Morning!

  • Today is a day of insane amounts of laundry.  After hitting the gym I plan on being in sweats all day taking mini naps between loads LOL

QOTD:  Pizza and hot fudge brownie sunday from CPK

  • No big plans for me today, just a normal day of work & going to the gym at lunch. Probably we will do some packing and keep working on editing our photos tonight.

QOTD: My all time favorite meal is a really really good steak, baked potatoes with ALL the fixings (even bacon bits!) and cesear salad. Mmm

  • Morning.  I've got to try to plan a weekend trip to somewhere in Germany.  Thinking Dusseldorf probably.

QOTD:  chips and queso, fajitas, and a massive beer or 3 from Pappasito's.  That sounds good to me right now.  I wouldn't have an appetite for a last meal on death row, though.

  • I tried to get a jump start on work yesterday, but my remote connection was so horrible it was fairly pointless.  But at least I managed to clean out my inbox, so I'm starting the week clean.  Have a ton of stuff to do though over the next few weeks.  I'm really looking forward to our trip back to the US in December.

QOTD: Probably a good steak, with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach.  With a dark chocolate fondant dessert. Although, as pp pointed out, not so sure I'd have much of an appetite.

  • Morning....actually afternoon here! We had an awesome thunderstorm this morning, so I enjoyed having a little rain! Now I'm watching the Steelers game vs the Ravens (it was an 8 PM game last night), and after that, heading to lunch with a friend. Then hoping to just relax tonight!

I wish my Eid holiday lasted all week...I'm really enjoying having some time off from week!

QOTD: Due to the lack of pork here, it would have to be a honey baked spiral ham, with all the sides we usually have for Xmas (scalloped potatoes, stuffing, mac salad, etc). And some sort of chocolate silk pie for dessert!!

  • Morning! I was feeling great this weekend. Got the new apartment unpacked. No homework to worry about. DH left for a business trip so I sat around all day watching crap on TV (Miss World competition, anyone?). Now today I woke up and realized all the things that need to be taken care of before we leave the country for two months in less than a week!

QOTD: I don't know where this is coming from, but I'd go comfort food all the way. Fried chicken (which I never actually eat) and butter noodles (which I only ate as a kid).  Maybe it's the forbidden food kind of thing. Not like I eat that healthily, but these things don't have a place in an Italian/Midwest American household.

  • Morning. I spet all weekend nursing a cold. I only left the house twice nad mainly sat on the couch watching crappy movies on TV. I did get some baking done last night, though.

I go to the US in 11 days. I'm so excited!

QOTD: My mom's sweet potato casserole and rice with lentils. Followed by her cake with pineapple filling. Nom.

  • Morning! Today we've already been to puppy school...man it was a bit cold and Maddy SUCKED wow did she suck, she would get the dummy and run all over the field and then drop it before making it back to me or the trainer!

This afternoon E and I are going to get groceries for the rest of the week and pick the house us the rest of the way because we have a few people coming over tomorrow for a mums group.

QOTD: Not sure, it depends on my mood. Right now it would be friend chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and a biscuit.

  • Morning!

M is back at school after 17 days off for the holidays. It's so nice to have a quiet house again!

I just finished putting away all my summer clothes and taking out my winter stuff. Later I'll go grocery shopping, our fridge is empty as last week the supermarkets were closed because of G20.

QOTD: I would love to have a variety of different foods that I've never tried plus a ton of Champagne.

  • Nothing new here. Just work and German class tonight.

QOTD: A philly cheesesteak with cheese fries, and funnel cake for dessert. And some ice tea.

  • PS: I now hate this QOTD, this all sounds so yummy and its food I never eat!  But its cold, comfort food type of day and I'm starving and now the PB&J I was about to eat does not sound good at all! LOL

  • We are just chilling out at home today, may take a walk to the park later this afternoon.

QOTD:  Probably Thai red curry in coconut milk and chicken, with sticky rice and fresh mango.

    Photobucket
  • Morning!

QOTD: Probably an entire large taco pizza made by a pizza shop only found in the Midwest (and rumor has it they have one location in Egypt (what?)). Plus a few bottles of red wine because seriously, am I really going to care about the hangover?

As a side note, Amnesty International has a really interesting exhibition idea on the death penalty - they have pictures and lists of real meals prisoners were served and the groups can recreate them on display to get people's attention about capital punishment. I can't find a link right now (I saw it in print), but here's a link to something similar:
