Where is my magic jean fairy?

DH is always hounding me about my droopy drawers because I can't find a good pair of fit jeans.  I don't have much for hips so most of the jeans I have look like you could probably fit another person in them.  He's always grabbing the extra material in the back and telling me to "get rid of the granny pants".  The problem, I HATE... can't stress this enough... HATE the low rise jeans.  I enjoy bending over and not showing my crack to the world.  However, most of the fit jeans I have found start way too low.  I'm currently buying the mid rise jeans from Old Navy, The Gap and Banana Republic but they are really baggy in the leg/butt area.

Can one of my fashion goddesses please send me in the right direction?  Where do I go to find mid rise jeans that are fit in the butt/leg area for someone that has a pretty "straight" body and is on the short side (5'3").  Thanks ladies!

  • Have you tried Not My Daughter's Jeans in petite? They are good jeans that aren't low cut and they fit well. They have extra spandex in them to make you look smooth but for you they might work to not look baggy. It's not enough spandex to be jeggings or leave marks on you, just enough to look good. they have them at nordstroms and occasionally at costco of all places.

  • I was going to suggest the same thing! Also, Chico's randomly makes great jeans for ppl without butts.

i have seen them at dillard's as well (the dillard's with the bigger selections).

i need to go jean shopping this evening, and i was just trying to wrangle up a neighborhood friend to go to happy hour first with me.  i think i need to drink in order to have a successful jean shopping trip.

  • I just got two pair at ny&co and love them!  :-)
  • I have the same problem. I have the flattest butt in creation. I have found that the best fit has been petite sizes. However, I am quite short-waisted, so that could be part of it as well.

  • I like Paige Premium in the Hidden Hills and Hollywood Hills cuts.  Lower rise jeans tend to scootch down on my hips over the course of the day and look saggy in the back.

You know, we don't have one of those at baybrook, which is odd since we have pretty much every other limited store.

A friend of mine told me the JLo jeans at kohls were good .

  • Man, I was just at Kohl's getting some shoes for DD.  I wish I would have stopped to look for jeans.  I never thought they would have anything there.  I didn't have a chance to go anywhere else this weekend.  I wish I could order them online but with my strange body type, I'm so scared to buy without trying things on.

  • I wish we could use Xbox kinect technology to scan ourselves at home and then virtually try on jeans.
