I so didn't see this coming. It was just one thing after another:
-my great aunt passed away
-my step sister got engaged (I never thought she's get married)
-I was cleaning out my garage to prep to (hopefully) move to Michigan, and I kept finding things that reminded me of my past life...especially the wedding pics. I'm over my XH, but it's still tough. We were together since high school, so he was half of my life at that point. Also there were pics of my grandmother who passed in January, and that's what REALLY killed me...She won't get to see me marry the right guy (whenever that happens).
Sigh. I couldn't help but just sit down and cry yesterday. Feeling a little better today, but it was pretty emotional.
ETA: And did I mention that I'm trying to help TWO different friends decide if they need to get a divorce, helping one decide about staying with her live in BF, and trying to convince another to NOT have an affair. Ugh.
Re: overwhelmingly emotional weekend
Wow, sounds pretty overwhelming. I'm sorry about your great aunt and your grandmother. I still have those moments, too (finding old pictures and stuff).
I'm a believer that sometimes you do just need to cry. It can make you feel better. Hopefully this week goes better for you!
Ugh I'm sorry you had such an emotional weekend. Sometimes a good cry is just what we need though. Here's hoping your week is smooth. ((hugs))
No matter how well you have been doing there can be hard days. I am sorry about your great-aunt.
I hope this week is better for you!
