so it's still dark when i wake up in the morning, and still dark when i get to work...soooo....daylight savings did nothing for me...now i've just lost an hour of daylight at night... boooooooo....
this week begins my madness until baby. i pretty much have no more "free" days until after the baby gets here...and when the baby gets here, i'm sure i'll lack free time as well! i'm kinda scared, and it's definitely stressing me out.
my most exciting day this week is michael jackson cirque de solei show- i bought tickets the day they went on sale almost a year ago. i'm so excited, but nervous because the show doesn't even start till 8pm..so i am going to be out LATE! ahh!

Good Morning!
Our weekend was pretty good Friday was James's birthday, but he wasn't feeling well. We went to Applebee's and then had cake at home. It was dry. James doesn't like frosting, so I didn't frost it, and I guess I forgot how much the frosting seals the moisture in the cake. Oh well.
Saturday, we went to the Emergency Preparedness thing at the Puyallup Fair grounds. Tillman got a free bike helmet. Other than that, it was lame. Tman had a karate "blaster" where it's one on one time with his Sensei and that was good. He learned some weapon stuff, which, of course he loves. Then, we went to see The Lion King at the $2 theater. Tillman had never seen that movie, so it was fun. He ate SO MUCH popcorn!
Sunday was church.
This week, I'm looking forward to Friday - don't I always? But this Friday, Tillman is out of school for Veteran's Day and I'm planning a fun day for him and me. We are going to our doughnut shop first thing, then we are going to come home and decorate the house with red, white and blue streamers and balloons. Then, we are going to paint a giant flag on poster board. Then, we are going to build a GIANT fort in our dining room. We are going to eat snacks and watch movies until Daddy gets home and then have reverse dinner of ice cream and then mac and cheese and hot dogs. I'm so excited.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
I'm still battling this cold and I really need to kick it before vacation. It was a super low key weekend for me, just hanging out on the couch.
I'm hoping for a quiet week too!
too late now--but next time, brush the top of the cake with syrup...the kind that people get to flavor coffees or italian sodas...i don't remember the name of it...but it's usually a red/blue label.
that'll add a little bit of flavor, and give it extra moisture.

I am getting better at nesting while nursing
No big plans this week. Hoping to get a work out in most days. yesterday Hailey had a really bad day. She spent a period of eight hours crying because of gas. Poor kid.

My brother returned from Iraq on Saturday. It's great, but has been a little stressful since the military doesn't allow hard copy/text/email/whatever of any kind of troop movement information, so we'd get emails telling us to call someone for updates. It's the kind of nervous of being called into the principal's office without knowing what you did wrong. But it was a good homecoming. I felt really bad for all those wives I saw with <6 month old babies. It must have been really rough.
An old college roommate is visiting, but everyone is leaving tomorrow (roommate, parents) so we finally get our house to ourselves after a long time. Looking forward to it, though having my parents at home has had its perks. My mom's packed us lunch every morning and we come home to dinner. It's pretty nice, esp. since last week, we didn't get home until after 7 most nights.
