Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I emailed them and essentially they said they couldn't see anything wrong with it. I may just have to give up and create a new username.

That sucks. I wonder if it has anything to do with 'bin' being commonly used as a directory. Maybe it's confusing the network??
Oh, and I've always wondered. Is your username an Eddie Izard reference??
There's an Eddie Izzard bit about Robin Hood, and he shortens it to "bin."
From the error message, I'd put money that this is what is happening.
Bin, maybe you could have them try changing your username to Bin1 or something just as a test.
