So, I have a dillemma. FF's birthday is in 13 days and I have no idea what to do/get for him. He spent a lot of money to replace/upgrade my DSLR for my birthday/Christmas gift and has made it very clear that I don't have to spend that kind of money on him. But, I can't help but still feel guilty about that.
Here's my problem. I'm tight on cash right now, especially with my hefty attorney bill I'm trying to pay off and the fact that Christmas is right around the corner. I have the idea to do some kind of "basket" for FF, with cute things that remind me of reasons why I love him and/or things for "survival".
Here are some examples:
Coldstone gift card -- Because I'm 'sweet' on him
Sir Pizza gift card (his fav. local pizza place) -- For the times I burn dinner
Does that make sense? The problem is, I need more ideas. I realize I can spend a lot of money on this idea, but I think my creativity will outweigh how much money I spent...as in, I'll get bonus points for doing something so thoughtful.
Does anyone have any ideas for me for things I can put into it? I'm at a loss....
Re: Ladies, I need creative help (re: FF's bday)
That is a good start and a cute idea!
What does he like to drink?
What about camping supplies since you both have been camping quite a few times?
anything you can bake him?
Maybe a shirt or shirts so he can leave them at your place if he needs to
A copy of your house key?
His very own coffee mug, and a box of hot chocolate - to be used when cuddling on the couch during a snow storm? (Preferably when B is with K)
A mountain pie (pie iron) maker
Gift Certificate for movie rental
Oooh, these are good ideas.
He already has a key to my house...and I'd give him a shirt to leave at my house, but when we stay together (when B is with K) I'm always at his house.
Like the idea for camping stuff...now I just need to come up with some things!
Mountain pie maker - and some shelf stable ingrediants like pie filling or peanut butter
Box of matches - to "light" your fire.
A marshmallow/hot dog roasting stick - with a bag of marshmallows.
A good flashlight
How about a "spork"? I've never actually tried one myself, but they look cool, and I think spork is a funny word. Haha!
What about something like this:

A Swiss Army knife/ utility knife?
I was going to suggest something like this or a Leatherman, but if her FF is anything like my FF, he has 10 different kinds of pocket knives.
