@ Article about flying with kids

Sorry, I don't know how to make this clicky.  This article offers a good comparison of US domestic and international airlines amenities or lack there of for kids. I know this is usually a hot topic around here.

  • I read this earlier, and they are so correct, overseas carriers are always so much better than domestic carriers.

  • Interesting article.  Flying is definitely not what it used to be.

I had a B of a flight attendant on Delta that wouldn't give me water to make a bottle.  I've never seen someone working with customers with such an attitude.  H got the water...all turned out OK.

Air Tahiti Nui was a fantastic airline.  I expect that from an airline that mainly just goes to Tahiti, though.

This. I've only ever flown Virgin with DS, but it was lovely. I had no idea families weren't allowed to board early on US flight anymore or that they were so un-accomodating, though I'm not terribly surprised.

  • This US/non-US carrier has been our experience too. But I've also had good experiences on domestic carriers when I'm on tiny, puddle jmping flights. Even though it's less necessary, they have let us board early, etc.

  • I'm dreading our trip home at Christmas, but even more so the trip next year when she'll be mobile (doesn't look like she will be at Xmas). We're waiting on the Christmas trip to decide whether it's worth it to shell out the extra $240 to Continental for bulkhead seats on the transatlantic flight for next summer.

  • I didn't read the article, but I wanted to say that we were allowed to board early when we flew to and from the US in October.  It was a US carrier.  They were very accommodating, really.  And they treated me especially well on the solo flight to the states...but a woman traveling alone with two small children is a sympathetic figure. :)
