They took him into custody so I don't think he'll get house arrest. But I'm not sure. Even if he's only in jail a couple days/hours due to crowding he's pretty much screwed. Because he was found guilty he'll lose his license, and be unable to practice medicine. He has been in the public eye for a long time, so it would be interesting to see who will hire him.
I thought the max was 4 years but I haven't been following the case very closely.
