Mail Order RX Qs

How long does it take to get an rx delivered if you go the mail order route?

Re: Mail Order RX Qs

  • Ours is a one time set up.  So for example your 90 day refill that should happen next week, with ours you don't have to call it will just be there once set up.

Do you know who your carrier is?

***FYI we (you know what I mean) don't do mail order directly anymore.  Well it's our company sort of.  Oh helzz email me.

  • I have Aetna and it takes mine about two weeks. They let me do a one time call in to the pharmacy too if you really need it might want to check it out.

  • It is usualy about a week if it is a refill. We order refills every 60 days so we do not run out waiting.
  • I have ours setup on auto renew but if I manually order it online 10 days or so....depending on the meds. Sometimes they have a shortage.

  • Do you get one month at a time or 3?

We are in a bit of a jam with DH's schedule and meds...there are times where he will run out mid-hitch.  We are trying to figure out a way to prevent that.

  • i used to get 3 months at a time.  I could immediately go in and re-order the next refill and the mail order service would send it whenever the insurance approves it.  I think it was maybe 2 months later.  Then I'd get it about a week after insurance approved.

  • 3 months. I find it to be much cheaper with mail order. For instance..I started a new thryoid med, I got 1 month at Walgrees for about $6 and with mail order I got 3 months for $6.05.
