Re: the little treehouse

  • I never even heard of it.

Saturday we'll be at Peddler's Village for the Apple Festival or else I'd think about going to this treehouse place with you. :)

  • amynumbers loves it there! we will be busy doing house workboo
  • I'm intrigued by this place, and the website didn't really answer all my questions...can you go just one time to check it out, or do you have to pay for the $55 for 10 visits thing?  We are a bit of a distance from there, so I don't foresee us going a lot to make it worth paying for a membership or anything.

Also, can anyone tell me an age range for the place? We are looking for something to do to get together my kid with my cousin's kids this weekend- they are 8 and 2- would this be a place for all those ages?

  • I know this is a few days late...but:

The Little Treehouse is a lot of fun, I would say it tops out at age 4 though. Definitely not for a 8 year old (I'd go for the zoo or the Please Touch Museum).

You do not need to pay for the 10pack visit, you can pay a one time visit fee...I think it's $8? Sibs are half off I think. The food is good, pricey, but high-quality & worth it I think.

we have been many times & took a class there when they first started (50% off!). I think they sometimes get a little full of themselves...some prices for classes, etc. are silly high. I've been frustrated a few times when a daycare group is there and takes over the play area, but I'm not sure if they do that anymore.

Anyway, end result is the locals are there weekly. It's fun and a great place to meet up w/ other parents. They do some fun weekend evening stuff, too.

  • Thanks, Lala.  I may cehck it out sometime.  I hear you about the class prices- I find that a lot of places.  It's very frustrating to see what places try to charge for you to bring a baby or toddler to jump around or listen to music or whatever.  I guess they just assume you won't question it or will be so desperate to get out of the house you'll pay...who knows.  I take my daughter to free or low cost things, and we are good...my cousin, however, pays almost $300 a month in membership/class fees for her two daughters places- and that doesn't include the 4 day a week preschool for her one kid!  It's insane!

  • That is crazy! We have PTM & Zoo memberships. Everything else we do is free. Luckily we have  fantastic story time at our town's library. My older daughter is starting nursery school next year & the price is already freaking me out a bit.
