Mine was pretty good!
Friday: volunteered at the fundraiser. It was fun! I got a chance to catch up with my former staff (I really miss them!) and former boss (I miss him...as a person!), which was nice. I helped out and drank free wine...and when a little girl passed out while playing the violin, it wasn't my problem!
She was fine, BTW.
Saturday: lounged around, went into work for a few hours, came home and fell asleep on the couch at 10pm. Glorious.
Sunday: H worked, I went on an awesome 5 mile run! My longest in a while...I'm thinking I might sign up for a 10k 11/20! We also went out to dinner with MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL and her BF to celebrate MIL and FIL's 33rd anniversary. SIL won't stop talking about getting engaged...this is her first BF and they've been together for just over 2 years. It was clearly making him uncomfortable. Yikes.
Re: How was your weekend?
I'm jealous of your running. We used to go "jogging" in the summer, but now it's too chilly. Or maybe that's just my lazy excuse. I miss summer!
Anyway, this weekend for us was pretty stressful. It's just a stressful time all around as we are trying to sell {now rent} our condo and buy a single family home {and obtain a second mortgage}!
Friday we found out Josh had to go into work on SATURDAY because of this whole "occupy" crap. He's in finance/banking, so yeah... sucked. I say occupy crap because it now directly affected my weekend! His company basically had the whole staff on the table Saturday for the repercussions of what could have happened. Just as we predicted, it was a waste of half a day because they ended up not even needing them. Times like these I wish Josh wasn't salary so he couldn't be taken advantage of. Anyway, it caused us to not enjoy our Friday night because we couldn't stay up late or do much because H had to get up normal work time Saturday morning.
Once he came home Saturday we went to Macy's for a bit to shop. We also found out that H's family is coming up for the holidays this year and apparently his one sister and BF are staying with us. Let me remind you, we live in a one bedroom condo. I don't mind, his family is always welcome, it just would have been nice to have been asked by them if they could stay by us. Josh gets to go to work during the day for some of the time they are here, where I have to be in full out entertain mode.
Sunday we went over my parents house. Then, we came home and found out the house we like is under contract, which sucks. We're still going back and forth with the mortgage broker over getting a second mortgage.
My life sucks right now lol.
My weekend was very uneventful and boring lol. H doesn't like to do anything since his work weeks are so stressful and long. I did however go to a friends to watch some football games on Saturday. That was a lot of fun.

I went up to Canada this weekend for my sister's wedding. It was a wonderful wedding, but I am completely exhausted! I don't feel like I really had any down time, since I was busy with various bridesmaid/family duties all weekend. My husband is leaving for a two-week business trip today, so the next couple weekends are gong to be pretty quiet.

raeyn, that's a gorgeous picture of you ladies!
My weekend was fun! I shot a wedding up in Boston on Saturday, drove home and then yesterday we were super lazy, I made pulled pork nachos and we watched football and I started knitting!

The weekend wasn't too bad. I've been a bit homesick and it came to a head Friday night. I went to bed early and cried for twenty minutes, until DH took notice and put down the brand new iPad. After a long talk and some cuddling, he downloaded the Lemonade Stand game for me.
Saturday, we went to a Farmer's Market in a town about half an hour away, and had lunch at a local cafe -- housemade crumpets with lemon butter. At the Market, I found some vegetarian worchestshire sauce, an unscented shampoo bar, and some Rye beer for DH. We also stopped at a gourmet "general store" where I picked up some onion & sweet chili marmalade and sundried tomato & oregano crisps.
Sunday it started out sunny and hot, so I ran a load of laundry, and then as soon as DH had hung it out, the skies opened up, so we had to race to get it all in. Then I spent mid-day watching the LSU/Alabama game (and cursing as I'm a Bama fan). After recovering a bit, I made dinner -- a spicy cheese chili with cornmeal dumplings and a marinated tomato salad.
All in all, not a bad weekend, though it ended Sunday night with a text from my college suitemate that her mother had lost her battle with breast cancer.
Aw that looks like such a classy wedding! I can definitely see the resemblance between you and your sister.

Friday Night: Hubby & I painted our family room chocolate brown, which I've been insisting that we do since we moved in (we've had the paint for over 6 months) & that I have been really pushing for for the last 3 weeks, since we were hosting a wine party on Sat night (of course he wanted to wait til the very last moment)...we were up til 2:30 finishing it.
Sat: I went to a friend's bridal shower, which was fun. I got to meet a bunch of people that I didn't know at all and also catch up with a friend's mom whom I hadn't seen in ages.
Sat night: wine party! It was a little disappointing cause a bunch of people who said that they were coming bailed without notice, so we have a TON of leftovers.
Sun: My two dogs and I participated in a charity dog walk to raise money for canine cancer research and treatment. There were sooooo many dogs there & I am convinced that I want a Great Dane. Then we went to an open house at our local animal hospital and got a tour, free food & entered in a couple raffles. One of the best parts was that there was a cop who was making balloon animals-priceless. The dogs spent the rest of the night sleeping on our couch.
Sun Night: I took my dad and hubby to see Senator Mark Kirk speak at Elmhurst College about the state of the economy and things that he's been doing as a US senator to remedy the problems. He's known for breaking party lines to get things done...definitely one to watch (even though I don't 100% always agree with his stances on issues).
