Go to Meals?

I'm uninspired lately when making my menu for the week.

What are your go to meals each week?  Or some fabulous recipes you'd love to share with me :)

  • Tacos.  Everyone loves them, and they are so easy.  When I'm feeling uninspired I gravitate towards them.

Also, roast chicken with some veggies and/or potatoes on the side.  It's easy to make and then you have chicken left over to make other things with.

    Spaghetti.  Can't go wrong there!

  • Chili is a frequent one for me. I do a super simple recipe and it honestly takes like 10 minutes to throw together.  I usually make enough to feed us for a few days, so that's a bonus.

Meatloaf, spaghetti, hamburgers, tacos, slow cooker pot roast, and steak with potatoes are other fast favorites.  If I'm eating alone, I make mac & cheese.

This salmon penne is surprisingly fast, and you can get cheap canned salmon and jars of artichokes at Costco. :)

Pasta fresca is another one I make a lot, but it's a little more work so I have to be in the mood for it.

  • I'm right in line with the pp (tacos, spaghetti, etc).  This is also a go-to for me:

It is FI's favorite meal I make.  I keep garlic, montreal steak seasoning, chili powder, and canned chilis on hand at all times (left over chilis from a can can be put in a ziploc bag and frozen and dethawed repeatedly for future use). (I never use the onion)

  • Spaghetti with sauteed zucchini and squash, usually with Italian sausage, tacos, chicken enchilada pasta (I use a rotisserie chicken), soup (cabbage is my favorite), stir fry, and crockpot chicken tacos. Those are the things I tend to make the most because they're easy and everyone likes them.

  • We do a lot of pasta and veggie dishes and I make a pretty good stuffed chicken.  You pound out a chicken breast very thin then stuff it with spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, and a little garlic powder, salt and pepper.  I bake it at 350 for about 20 min.  Sometimes I add marinara sauce on top when it bakes. Delicious!

  • Thanks ladies!  A few of those ideas will be put on my menu very soon!  I also go to the tacos, pasta and salads.  I'm bored with them though.

  • I've been making this one a lot lately General Tso's Chicken

Or Santa Fe Chicken but I bake it for an hour at 350 instead of crock pot.

    Cheeks!
