ughhh damn kids

We live in quiet condo community. It's mostly quiet because there aren't a lot of kids {1 bedrooms make up most of the units with very limited 2 bedrooms}. Well, this family moved in {I think they are renting, I don't think they own} with two children who play outside and literally SCREAM. I had the sliding door open for fresh air but couldn't deal with the noise anymore. Even with the door shut I can still hear them. UGHHHH! I wanted to yell at them to shut up but realized that would be rude. I CANNOT WAIT TO MOVE. Obtaining a second mortgage is the most difficult thing ever. :(:(:(

Re: ughhh damn kids

  • I'd call the cops on them.  That might sound mean, but it's a lot nicer than going out there in a pair of boxers and waving around a shotgun, which is what H would do.

    lol

We have a noisy kid upstairs who runs back and forth nonstop with cinderblocks on his feet (or so it sounds like). We asked the housing association president what we could do about it and he personally went up there and asked them to please be mindful of the noise they make. I guess there are laws about condos having carpeting if the floors are less than a certain number of inches apart from floor to floor, to buffer noise. Of course our building never followed those rules, so as a building, we all have to be mindful of noise.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I hope you can get that 2nd mortgage and move somewhere quieter! Where are you looking?

  • Thanks ladies! LOL.... you made me feel less rude/mean for feeling this way about our noisy neighbors haha.

We are looking to buy a single family in the same area we are now. We want to buy something bank owned... something we'd really be getting an amazing deal on and we can turn around once the market {hopefully} picks up once again. Then, eventually build out dream house!!!

  • That's awesome! I've been browsing more and more for houses back up in MA. I found a fixer upper farmhouse in DH's hometown. He was like "Uhhhh no." He has no sense of adventure! lol
