My wth moment for today: Running tights

Are these for serious? I just got a pair to wear under pants while we're in Iceland. They're super tight bootay huggers! I couldn't imagine wearing just this running. I feel so exposed.

*bows down to the runner who runs in running tights only*

  • Most people wear shorts or a running skirt over them.

  • Oh, and have you looked into silk long underwear?  I wear mine all the time (not literally all the time, but often).  They are very thin and fit comfortably under pants.  There are also thicker synthetic ones (even fleece) that are warm and cozy.  Just in case you're still looking :)

Ok that makes me feel better. I was starting to feel super inferior to the super fit girlsl. Karebear, I'm looking at you! Wink

Do you have any that you can recommend? The ones that I looked at were too puffy. I definitely don't have my heart set on these running tights.

  • Thanks! Honestly, you get used to it plus  they suck you in so they are more flattering. I feel. More self conscious in yoga pants.

  • I wear capri ones but I have long tanks and tops over them. They are just really comfortable...

  • I wear running tights on their own. You do get used to it, and the more compression type ones do "suck you in" a bit.

This.  I sort of feel like, why would I dirty extra clothes? nope, I'm not the most fit person in the world but at least I'm out there running :)

I have a couple pairs of these.  They come in petite, but mine are not, and i think the fit is fine.  They are great.
I also have the older version of these (yes, from the boys' section).  They are ok, but not fabulous.  Bulkier and i don't like the fabric.
Dh has some like this and has no strong feelings.  He says they are comfortable and warm, and breathe well/wick but can't remember if they feel bulky.
