Indeed.
I think a little (er, a lot) of retail therapy did me good.
I checked 3 people off my Christmas gift list, started a couple more, and bought us a "family" gift. My friends, I am going camping next year (finally)!!!

I got it on Woot for $74.99. Its a 7 person, 2 room tent that gets pretty great reviews and normally sells for $120-$150. Woot!
Re: Happy Monday
Sweet tent. That is a great deal.
I can't wait for camping season! Do you guys have an idea of where you want to go. I think next year we want to check out Young State Park. My brother and SIL go there every year for a week and love it. Last year we went to Petoskey and the beach left much to be desired, but the bike path was awesome.
Awesome.
I haven't even thought about it. I used to camp at Silver Lake State Park every summer growing up and I loved it. I think I'd like to take Mike and T there. I'm pretty much open to anything. I'm really excited.
I love Silver Lake. We used to look forward to Mac Woods Dune Rides all summer. Mike has never been on one so we need to go next year.
Cool tent! Family vacations for us were ALWAYS camping. I'm not a fan now.
My parents didn't catch on to paper plates/plastic utensils 'til I was in high school, so while they got to relax and read books and drink coffee by the fire, the four of us girls were stuck hauling water and doing dishes by hand (worse than at home, with the lovely dishwasher). Add in the showering with bugs, sand everywhere, no space to ourselves in the tiny camper, and camping no longer sounds like fun to me.
But really, that is a cool tent.

Your camping trip sounds like hell! lol. I'd hate it too.
Mine consisted of bike rides, boat rides, dune hiking, hobo pies and campfires. aka heaven.
I left out the part where my dad made us pick up the campsite first--with rakes and trash bags--before we could even open the pop-up. And then the part where we'd have to sweep it all out, then lay out our astro-turf mat beneath the awning (which we ALWAYS fought about putting up) and sweep again. This was probably after we spent an hour setting up the screen tent where our picnic table went. I didn't want to scare anybody.

Wow, GRKaters, those trips sound awful. Do any of your sisters camp as adults?
D&M, that tent is great! We need a bigger one, as our "sleeps 6" does not fit all 4 of us, and the dogs. I think they base tent sleeping #s on Oompa Loompas stacked vertically.
We saw my family for a bit yesterday. Baptism for sweet Delaney. That will cause a new thread.
Feeling much, much better than Friday morning. Thanks again, pals.
I do not believe so, at least not regularly. If they do, it's with lots of friends and they aren't the ones doing the planning/heavy lifting/campsite selecting/cleaning.

Well, it didn't take long to put me in a bad mood. I hate my job.
Hate.
I'm going to try to stay positive though.
Way to go Wop! We were pretty early this morning too (a first in about a month, haha.) I chalked it up to having that extra hour. Lord knows I needed it!
There's a woodpecker living in our garage wall.
I brought the tomato vines to our compost, and noticed two 1" holes 1/2 way up the rear wall. And when I returned, a woodpecker was poking it's head out of one of the holes.
Oh my goodness. Have you noticed any noise?
We've known the pair of peckers (hee hee) to be in the neighborhood. This is a recent move for them. No noises heard. Jim is happy to let them/it live there for the winter, but I'm concerned about damage to the wood siding.
Also, I've been trying to change my sig pic, but can't get photobucket to size smaller today. Glitches = huge photos, so I took it down. Sorry if, for a moment, my signature took up your whole screen.
Tomorrow: please vote. If you live in GR, please consider voting yes for the school. State cuts have been rough on all districts, especially those in inner cities. The money from this millage is to keep GRPS warm, safe, and dry.
Off soapbox.
I just showed someone I work with -- an older man -- how to copy/paste and it blew his mind.
Hmmm I don't think I know how to do this!
I might not either. Is it just c/ping?
Mol, glad to read your day wrap up. Much better than hate.
That's how I do it.
Maybe MissyNa has a Superwoman secret though.
