I just got on Amazon.com and this message came up:
Today we're announcing a new benefit for Kindle owners with an Amazon Prime membership: the Kindle Owners? Lending Library.
Kindle owners can now choose from thousands of books to borrow for free, including over 100 current and former New York Times Bestsellers ? as frequently as a book a month, with no due dates.
You can start borrowing books today. Not sure about the selection yet, but I'm off to browse.

Re: PSA for Kindle owners
I rip through an insane amount of books as well, but it could save some money - assuming the selection is good. $6.58 is the break-even point. If you buy one book a month worth more than than then you're saving money by having the prime account.
$79/year for free 2 day shipping on your orders and discounted next-day delivery. And now 1 book a month from the kindle owner's lending library.
