Ok ladies I know there have been lots of discussion about these, but why did you choose the product you did? TIA
Re: Mobigo, Leapfrog
I went with the Leapfrog Leappad explorer (the ipad looking one).
I played with them in the store to see which felt most intuitive.
let my kids play with them in the store to see which they were drawn to and were easy to use.
I googled to compare features of several of the gaming systems online, (vtech vs leapfrog vs mobigo, etc and also regular explorer vs leappad explorer) because there were certain features I wanted it to include.
I checked reviews to make sure there weren't any major annoyances that I should be aware of.
I also considered what kinds of games came with each. I wanted to be able to get games that weren't necessarily character driven, wanted them readily available, a nice variety, and fairly educational.
I also looked for a product that would grow with her a bit.
That's how I landed on the Leappad. It fits my almost 4 year olds needs the best. Katen can practice writing on it now among other things which I feel is nice. She's also got ipad envy and is always stealing it away from DH, so hopefully this will help.
