Re: Michelle duggar is pregnant

  • ok that is actually surprising. I thought her body was done...Especially after the medical complications last time, I kind of viewed that as a sign.
  • Hmmm ... I "get" and respect their theory, but after #19 I would have thought they would have tried harder to not get pregnant again. I also figured her body would have regected Mr. Duggar's swimmers, guess wrong.

  • She is putting the baby and herself at risk. This is really dissapointing and selfish, IMO.

    I agree. I really don't get it.

So agree.  I mean, she doesn't care nor does it matter what I think, but she gets a major side-eye from me.  At 45 with what, 19 kids and the life threatening complications she went through last time.........selfish.  Beyond selfish.  Just count each one of those 19 blessings and retire your uterus.

These people are f-ing crazy.  There isn't anything to get about it.

  • Once you suffer from pre-e, isn't there a higher chance that you'd go through it again in subsequent pregnancies?

It's just crazy. I honestly hope that she has a perfect, healthy pregnancy for the sake of that poor unborn baby, but I just don't agree with their choices.

OK, fine, you don't agree with birth control--what about NFP? You've done this 19 FREAKING times now, I think you'd understand and know your body pretty darn well. I know they think they can throw all planning/caution to the wind because God wouldn't give them babies if they weren't meant to have them, but COME ON... if we all lived that way, there are plenty of women who would be walking around with 10-20 kids.

I give them credit for being able to support and afford their kids. At least they're not on welfare. But it ends there. I agree that it's selfish and irresponsible.

  • I'm in the side-eye club.  I mean... I can't say because I'm not in their bedroom, but it seems to me that they're not just letting the chips fall where they may, but rather actively ttc.  I think they're incredibly selfish and bizarre.

    Absolutely this.

  • Oh, and they were all light-hearted about it, which was irritating.

Ann Curry asked about concerns about her age/health, and she went on some schpeel about eating healthy and spending an hour on an elliptical machine several times a week. Dude. That's not what Curry was talking about.

And they were all, "This is the largest gap we've had between two kids, we thought we might be done, it was so sad. But we didn't want to stop at an odd number!" I mean, REALLY? WTF.

    Yeah.  Chick is nutty.

I can't wrap my head around having a kid AFTER I have a grandkid.  The grandkid will have an aunt/uncle YOUNGER than them.  What the...why...whyyyy?

This is where it gets weird to me.

Once you start having grandkids, you should be done having kids. The whole Niece/Nephew being older than the Aunt/Uncle is bizarre in my mind.

  • She definitely has the hardest working uterus in show business.  I watched it too, thinking one of the girls was getting married.  Nope.  Wow.  How does it not just fall out of that gaping black hole of a babymaker?

  • When I first saw them on tv several years ago, back when there were 15ish kids, I thought FOR SURE there had to be more mothers running around that house that they just weren't showing. I mean, first of all, they dress like the stereotypical polygamists you see on tv and, second, how could one woman produce that many children? Well, she's had 4 since then and apparently she still not done. It's just plain idiotic that they're not being more careful. I also agree with Star that there's a good possibility that they're actively ttc. Who has that many children completely by chance?
