time off

Nelson & I have decided to take this month off from the whole Clomid & trying to get pregnant scene. We may start again in January. I just felt like it was taking over my life & I want to concentrate on enjoying the holidays not on my basal body temperature or what my cervical mucus looks like.

Thank you all for your support over the past few months & I'll let you know when we get back on the baby train.

Re: time off

  • Just wanted to let you know that last March I was right there with you! I had seriously had enough of all of it! So, we still didn't do anything to prevent pregnancy, but we didn't go as hard core from April - September. October was the first time I started charting again, and viola, seems to be sticking for now. Don't ever lose faith, and don't let yourself feel bad about taking some "time off". It was MUCH needed for Jeff and I! Who knows, maybe Santa will grant you guys a Christmas present when you least expect it! So many thoughts and hugs to you right now. Believe me, I know what you are going through!!!

  • I can't say that I know what you're going through like Danie and some of the other girls do, but I do know that's it's smart to take a break from ANYTHING that's taking over your life.  I am proud of you for knowing your limits and knowing that its best for you to take a step back. I know this will happen for you when the time is right :)
  • Good for you!  Sometimes when you over-think/analyze something too much it just doesn't happens.  I saw your "what do I want for x-mas" post on FB and the first thing that came to my mind was a BFP!  I really hope you get a surprise BFP during not-not trying time!  Praying for you!

Just what I was going to say!!!  :)

This is a good idea because you never know - it just may happen when you're not officially trying!  You know I'm rootin' for you!!!  :)

  • I totally agree w/Rachel it is a great thing to take a break from anything taking over your life. I still will send vibes for you when you get busy during your time off ;-) It will happen when the time is right! Sometimes you have to just relieve some of the stress of trying, to make it happen.

Enjoy your holidays of no Clomid and analyzing cervical mucus :-) Have fun and RELAX!

  • I don't blame you in the least.  Give your body a rest physically and mentally, and you never know what could happen :)
  • I think that it is a smart decision.  Taking a break from anything that is taking over your life and stressing you out so much, will give you the mental energy for getting back to it when you are ready.

Enjoy your holiday knowing that you will be giving both your body and mind a fresh start!

  • That will be nice to have a break, crossing my fingers for a surprise!

This exactly!  When we took a break earlier this year, it was so nice, plus that's when I got my surprise BFP.
