So I'm new to the whole crockpot thing. I bought a recipe book but every recipe that I look at there seems to be a lot of prep work and additional work during the cooking process. I really don't have time to do prep work and I thought the whole idea of a crockpot was to literally just throw stuff in and walk away. I work from 8am-6pm every day and by the time I get home I'm tired and hungry. Hubby is also pretty busy during the day and its hard for him to help.
I know some people swear by a crockpot so does anyone have any EASY crockpot recipes that don't require too much work.

Re: Crockpot recipe help!
One of the easiest recipes is for pork bbq. You throw a raw pork tenderloin in with a chopped onion and a bottle of bbq sauce (my fave is Open Pit). Cook on low for 8 hours and voila.
Last week we made this and loved it:

You throw in a cooked ham with a jar of pineapple preserves, a chopped jalapeno and a jar of cut up mango and when you're almost ready to eat you add pineapple slices. Hopefully it turns out good!
Well that helps out a ton!!! I was looking at the recipes thinking whats the point of the crockpot if I still have to pre-cook something!
Chinese Five-Spice Chicken Bowls are a favorite of ours. You just put the chicken thighs, veggies, broth and seasoning in the crockpot. Then, to serve, you make rice and shred the chicken.
Soups are also a good choice because there's nothing to do but serve it. Almost all recipes need veggie and/or meat prep to go in but you can simplify that by buying baby carrots or chopping a bunch of veggies on the weekend and refrigerating them for use throughout the week.

Yeah I have never tried a crockpot recipe. I am a 'slapper' as my StepFIL calls it. I throw/slap things together and normally they turn out pretty well. Some of the easiest things I have thrown in there are a chuck roast steak, some beef stock, a can of cream of celery soup, lots of baby carrots, I cut up little red potatoes and take a stalk of celery and chop it up. Leave it on low for the 8+ hours I am at work and it is yummy! The steak falls apart it is so juicy.
Same basic thing only I take some raw chicken breasts (sometimes frozen), chicken stock and then the same veggies. Easy peasy. As you can see I am not very adventurous with the crock pot. But I would like to be one day. Maybe when I am off on maternity leave I can dabble more!
This is my favorite, BBQ pulled chicken.

I never precook, etc.... I always throw in frozen chicken, etc into the pot and veggies/sauces/etc.
Here is a list of things that the nesties have recommended/make. http://nestiescookbook.wordpress.com/category/crockpot/
Salsa Chicken and Buffalo Chicken are super easy to make and take minimum ingredients.

It's not the biggest crockpot recipe database, but I like skinnycrockpot.com as they don't use any "cream of" soups in their recipes.
I made this beans and chicken recipe http://www.skinnycrockpot.com/monday-beans-chicken/ recently, using the 10 bean & barley soup mix (just dried beans and barley) from Trader Joe's and it was really good.
Like Jade, I don't always follow recipes, exactly or at all.
I did make Chipotle style barbacoa in the crockpot using a recipe I found by googling Chipotle crock pot barbacoa and it was SO good. Also I made the cilantro lime rice (in my handy-dandy rice cooker) by using the same lazy google method.
