Anyone have anything exciting going on this week?
DH is traveling and DS's not feeling well so I canceled his playdate for today. Now he's napping and I'm bored.
So... How about those Duggars?
Re: So, it's Tuesday.
Yeah, we've been slow around here the last few days.
I cannot believe the Duggars are having baby #20.
It's a nasty, rainy day here in Chicago. I seem to have a storm cloud following me around since Brazil. I hope my flight home isn't delayed today.
I am starting to suspect Ma Duggar has a death wish. Maybe she figures it's the only way Pa Duggar will leave her alone. (I'm kidding.) (Sort of.)
I have nothing exciting, so I'll just spout off randoms:
-This morning I realized I'd still forgotten to buy thread to fix the hem on the pants I planned to wear, and every other pair is in the hamper/at the dry cleaner. (A two-day work week means everything gets sent out at once, heh.) So I grabbed some double-sided tape from the window insulation pack we have, and so far, so good. This is problematic, however, because I will continue to forget to pick up thread. And we will, eventually, run out of tape when it comes time to tape up the windows in a couple of weeks.
- I leave for Phoenix tomorrow morning, and while I really don't want to go, the thought of having a king-sized bed all to myself for three nights is helping. A lot.
My parents arrive today!
I am just getting things ready for DS's birthday party this weekend. We have another the day before, plus dinner out with our parents so it's going to be a busy weekend.
Oh and foster dog starts HW treatment tomorrow morning. Just to add to the chaos a little bit.
Aw, Rock, I'm totally picturing you like a little cartoon character with the rain cloud over your head. When do you fly home? Tomorrow? Because it's going to rain here on Thursday haha
This made me LOL.I kind of love having the bed to myself sometimes.
I can't believe they'll be 1 in a couple weeks.
ETA Yeah, I'm a dummy. Party isn't this weekend, party prep is.
Oh! I have one more random: it's class officer election time at the grad school I work for, so there are campaign posters everywhere. On the door of the classroom across from my office suite, there's a picture of a guy who looks like a slightly older version of Ricky, from Better Off Dead. Every time I leave my suite, I think, "RICKY!" in that annoying mother's voice.
lol,
I don't have much going on. My annoyance of the week has been that I've been lisping since I got my braces on last week. It's been rather embarrassing talking on the phone at work, and I think a lot of callers are confused as to why I suddenly sound like Cindy Brady. Hopefully I get used to all the metal in my soon or its going to be a long 6 months.
I can't believe that they are having another freaking kid. I thought of this when I read it this morning:
My week is dragging. I am ready to be done this job.
Dude, and there are "only" 14 kids in this picture.
LadyE, I fly home tonight. Sorry to bring my raincloud home to you all
DD has been to 2 playdates this week, and if her nap schedule allows, we might hit #3 tomorrow afternoon. I am tired.
DH went to a gun training class this week. That's all I got. Oh, and I painted another wall. This time in the dining room.
My birthday is Sunday so DH is doing his best to pull out all the stops for some reason.
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.
