For those of you voting today....
I'm curious, but what are some of the biggest questions in your states? I think it would be interesting to see what other states focuses are this year.
In Maine, the big topic this year is casino's. They want to add 3 more casino's to our state. We currently only have one, which allows only for slot machines. I think it's funny how our state split 3 casino's questions over 2.

Re: For those of you voting today....
On Tuesday, November 8th, 2011 residents of Mississippi will vote on Initiative 26, a ?Personhood Amendment? that will change how a person is defined in the Mississippi Constitution.
I copy and pasted this from a local news website. That is the BIG heated debate here in MS.
For Atlanta specifically it's if liquor/beer stores and beer/wine should be able to be sold on Sunday.
Sadly I can't vote for anything because I forgot to change where I am registered.
It's funny you say that because that is another question on our ballot. Basically if we want to change voting registration back to our old law which allowed for same day voter registration. I know that one will pass, which I think is a good thing.
Your initiative is being debated everywhere. It has national implications.

There are 3 big, big issues in Ohio today.
Issue 1 - Judicial Office Age Amendment, would raise the maximum age for judicial office pursuant to election from 70 to 75
Issue 2 - Ohio Senate Bill 5 Veto Referendum, would repeal a measure which limits collective bargaining for public employees in the state
Issue 3 - Ohio Health Care Amendment, exempt residents of Ohio from national health care mandates
I just read a CNN article on it and this line upset me so much. You can't JUST adopt fing idiots like this make adoption more misunderstood. There's no rushing to China or Russia.
"We're trying to say there is another way besides abortion, that there can be a home for every child," Herring said. "Not every unwanted child has to die. There are over a million couples waiting to adopt. It's time to stop the senseless killing of children. We can provide these children, if people don't want them, to all of those who cannot have children themselves and stop the rush of people going to Russia, China and other areas to get children.
Idiots. Seriously.
ETA: not trying to start a debate, but I'm just annoyed by how easy people think it is to adopt.
I completely agree MO people don't realize how hard it really is to adopt a child. I will be honest I was completely oblivious to the entire process until meeting you and following your journey.
I will go on and add I voted no. I am very pro life, but I think it is way to broad and allows for way to many other changes than I am not willing to accept. I also believe that it should be a woman's choice in what is done with her body not the government. That does NOT mean I think abortion should be used as birth control.
*like MO i am not trying to start a debate just thought I would let you know how I voted today. *
