Clicky: Would you break a gift "limit"
I've finally found the perfect Christmas gift for H. However, it completely breaks the $50 limit and it's kind of a joke gift, but I'd probably hang it up in the house.
ETA: I'm just going to do it. The more I think about it the more I think this is going to be perfect. I just messaged the second seller to make me one in this style, but personlized to us. Thanks for giving me the green light!

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

On the actual piece itself I'll go over any where between $10 and $175, but I also need to get it framed, so tack on another $100?

I think this is a great idea, totally worth spending the extra $$. Are you doing one for his last or are you trying for yourmaiden-hislastname?
I like the 2nd/silly crest, but if he wants something more serious, the 1st would probably be best.

I'm doing "our" last name, Lampsen. It's both of our last names squished together.
I think I'm just going to roll with the silly crest. I'd feel really dumb giving him a serious one.
That is a great idea! I know DH would love his family crest framed. His cousins are trying to get him to have it tattooed on his back.
I am also thinking about doing that with my great-grandparent's last name. (McDermit)

if you're gonna go with the silly one, do you need to spend that much on framing? maybe you can use a michaels coupon, usually 60% off custom framing, and go there?
I'm going to try and find a ready made frame first, but if I can't then I'll go the custom route.
Even with a Michael's coupon for custom framing, that shiz is expensive. I just had 2 things framed and it was like $600, with the coupon. I almost passed out at Michaels.
get the f out of here! seriously???? i never looked into it, i assumed it couldn't be more than $50. obv i was wrong. you can totally find a frame! i can't wait to see the finished product!
that's kind of crazy for custom framing - I get 60% of coupons for Aaron Brothers and it's definitely less than that.
