Tuesday. All day.

Hello hello good morning hello.

Last night the train was delayed coming home, we sat on the tracks for over a half hour. Rage. When I got home, I reorganized my bags, ate, and reorganized my coupons. I finished a book and started another, packed lunch and gym and was in bed by 10. Zzzz.

MFD has the cold I had for three weeks and he's being a total weinerwhistle.

I've started taking the 7:16 instead of the 7:37. The 7:37 is constantly late by a lot. Even if this train is late I still get to work by a time I want to be there.

This morning, as I was hoofing it to the platform, I stepped into a hole and fell. Boom. I skinned my knee. hahahahah

Today is dreadmill day at the gym. Bah. Also my ninth day of exercise in a row. I need to push hard this month to make my 5 lb down goal with Thanksgiving.

I need to really start thinking about kitchen things...

When my kitchen wall is demolished, what kind of cabinets to I want to build in? Traditional or drawers? On the end of the cabinet, do I want shelves or a wine rack? Should I move my wine fridge upstairs or keep all wine in the bar area of the basement? Will we have the money to get a new fridge? Should we build upper cabinets or shelves? Should we build a window seat and put storage under the unused wall? What kind of flooring? What color granite? What color glass backsplash? Etc.

Re: Tuesday. All day.

  • Steph - sorry you skinned your knee, at least you find the humor in it! And you have a lot to think about kitchen wise, have fun shopping Big Smile

Today I took a vacation day since DH was off as well but we have our first ultrasound at our RE's office this morning. Excited and nervous.I could have taken a half day and worked the rest from home but screw it, I have 6 sick days and 5-6 vacation days that can roll over to next year if I don't use them the rest of this year.  Just makes it a short week and since my company is lame and doesn't honor Veteran's Day, I don't feel guilt taking a day off. Also seems like nausea hits at night now, which is fine. No tossing cookies but a queasy feeling.

Last night - made dinner and then we took the dog for a walk (around 2 miles total). It's definitely getting colder at night, which means we also need to make sure the pipes are wrapped.

Mush/Xtine - you ladies are so close to meeting your little one's...how are you both feeling? I'm excited for you guys!

  • Yay! Ultrasound!

Falling is funny, whether it's me or someone else.

    I don't have Veteran's Day off either.

  • Steph - I hate having to rely on stupid trains, they NEVER run on time!  Also I hate commuting, but that is another issue entirely.  Sorry for the scraped knee too!  I LOVE kitchens!!!  my one suggestion - don't get black granite, it soooo hard to keep looking clean and everything shows!  Also, go for no slam drawers/cabinets I'm in love.

Yay for the ultrasound - any way to post a pic?!!!

  • I just came from my doctor appointment. I am starting the weekly visits. I am actually feeling pretty good. Moving sometimes is getting hard after a long day but over all I think my 3rd tri I have felt the best. Everyone told me your 2nd you feel great, I felt I was on pain most of it with all the streching and growing. I have done WAY more in my 3rd. Maybe it is also me trying to get as much in a possible before she comes.

I am going to gain a millions pounds this week at work. In judaics this week the kids are making home made Challah (egg bread) and they always make extra for the teachers and staff. I can't say no to warm bread and butter. Yesterday I had so much. We still have today and thursday. YUMMY

  • I did absolutely nothing on a Monday. I worked my tail off. E and I came home and watched both Curious George movies, ready 5 Curious George books and were off to bed 8. Love :-)

Steph sorry about your knee incident.

    Yay to all the babies!!!

  • I had my 2nd OB appointment today and got an ultrasound because they don't let you go w/o hearing the heartbeat and I'm still kinda early to hear it on Doppler. I'll put up a pic on FB.

I am no longer immune to chicken pox (even though I had an AWFUL, AWFUL case when I was 5 y/o) and I am rhogam negative (which I knew already). I also did not gain any weight! Yay!

H and I were bums last night and did nothing. We had grilled cheese for dinner. This baby is totally going to kick us in the butt. We're sooooo lazy.

  • Angie - poop. I was leaning towards a darker granite. My counters suck ass now so it can't be too much worse? I will have to really remember that. Thanks for the info!

We are not replacing the cabinets that are there, just adding new cabinets. There's nothing wrong with our cabinets. It would be weird to have half slam and half no slam, right? hahahha

If you go with a darker one (my favorite also!) just don't get solid black, go for a pattern or a dark color like green.  Or get black and clean them more than i do Embarrassed

  • My counters are a mix of brown/copper/beige and black and I have to dust once per week. I can see that sh!t while sitting at the table and it drives me nuts when it's dusty. Plus you can't use any cleaner for them, have to use granite cleaner (which I don't have) or just warm water and a wash cloth. I use a microfiber duster to dust and it works. And my ticker is off my 1 day, meh.
