Stocking up

Just wanted to post a heads up. I saw some good prices at Target today on:

Bags of onions, Land O Lakes Butter, and 8lb potatoes. All about half price. I'm baking off and freezing potatoes made into twice baked potatoes and onions process and freeze extremely well also. Even the butter will freeze, but we use plenty.  lol!

Also 97% lean ground beef is around $3.50/lb. Decent price there. They're in 2lb packs.

Re: Stocking up

  • What do you do to keep twice baked potatoes nice when frozen?
  • I bake them 350* for an hour - put the fillings in, then wrap in foil and into a foodsaver bag for the freezer. Then when I'm ready to reheat, I roll the skin in olive oil and coarse salt and bake 350* for 40 minutes.
