another britax question

I have decided I want the boulevard or the advocate and am trying to decide between the regular and the CS (I know advocate is only cs). Does anyone have the CS? Is it worth the extra dollars? Or just another feature you don't need. I am used to the chicco which doesn't have that.

Okay, adding this, I just saw on amazon the blvd CS is cheaper 219.99. Is that a good deal? I think at BRU yesterday it was 300+. advocate is 260.99 on amazon.

Re: another britax question

  • If it is cheaper, then I would get it just because of that. Otherwise, no it is not worth the extra money. In fact, I have seen a lot of complaints about it not working correctly. I guess sometimes you hear the click before its tight enough or it doesn't click at all. Honestly, (and this is not meant to be snarky) but it isn't that hard to get the harness tight enough, so it isn't a necessary feature.

ok, that is what I was thinking. Are we dumbing this down to much with the cs. My hubby is nervous about getting L tight enough in her seat and I wouldn't want him relying on the click.

As long as you can't pinch any slack in the straps, they are tight enough. That is what I have ingrained in my DH. That and the chest clip at arm pit level. I think he's a pro now. Wink

  • good points, I just need to work with dh more, I can't think of the last time he went anywhere with her without me so he usually just lets me do it. I just need to work with him more and show/tell vs correct so he learns.
  • I ordered 2 from albeebaby.com when they were having a sale.  So we got the "upgraded" carseats for a decent price. I think I spent $450 for two of them, free shipping.  Just watch the site for sales, they have them periodically.  You're just limited on fabric selection slightly, but we got a basic grey/black combo that is just fine for DS and hopefully for a future kiddo.
