have we discussed this? missing child
A mom left her one year old child in her car on the side of the road because they ran out of gas. She took her four year old daughter to get gas a mile away. When she came back, the child was missing. I believe it's been three days now.
Poor kid, I hope they find him soon! Also, seriously mom? WTF were you thinking?!

Re: have we discussed this? missing child
Yeeeah, this whole story seems fishy to me.
This isn't the first time the little guy has been left alone in the car, either. They left the little guy in the car at a Target parking lot, when he was 3 months old, in the middle of December. It was 27 degrees out and the cops were called.
I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but IMO people need to pass a basic, common sense test before being allowed to procreate.
I agree husky. And the mom had a restraining order placed against the dad. The whole story is just messed up.
The media was camped out at Bellevue city hall yesterday.

This.
This thought crossed my mind too, but why involve the 2 year old and not the 4 year old? It seems like if you were up to something sketchy then you'd involve both kids and not just one?
I think when someone is twisted enough to hurt/kill their own child, all logic goes out the window.
Maybe hurting the 2 year old would bother the ex-H more than doing something to the 4 yr old? Maybe a male child vs. female child thing?

This story keeps getting crazier:
Aside from the mother of a missing toddler, no one has reported seeing the boy in the past two weeks, police said Tuesday.
Detectives have questioned relatives, family friends, neighbors - everyone close to the family of 2-year-old Sky Metalwala, said Bellevue police spokeswoman Carla Iafrate.
The last time someone recalled seeing him was about two weeks ago, she said. Iafrate said she did not immediately have other details of the sighting, except that it was reported by someone who was not a family member.

Just saw this on the news...they saw the girl said he was in the car. Not that that necessarily means it's true. And they said a witness drove by the car and said it was empty shortly after mom says she left it there...
definitely agree with the common-knowledge test....
and yes, the mom is sketch. no mother leaves her child in the car.
