Glee 11/8 *Spoilers*

Well, I loved it! I think it was hyped up a little too much for how it actually ended up being (the sex stuff) but I thought it was well done.

I love the Warblers so I was glad to see them again. And Sebastian is hot, he can stick around all he wants.

It was nice to see a little drama between Kurt and Blaine. Not everything is puppies and rainbows all the time.

I about died laughing at the end when Blaine wasn't wearing socks, WTF is with his wardrobe this year?

The scene with Karofsky was nice but seemed pretty unrealistic. Doesn't seem like he would be that comfortable in a gay bar yet considering how he was last time we saw him.

Kurt cracked me up when he broke up the dancing between Blaine and Sebastian.

Kudos to Cory Monteith, that shower scene and when he told Rachel the recruiter didn't want him were amazing.

Artie annoyed me this episode. Really, you're going to talk to a teacher about her sex life?

Poor Mike, his dad is such a douche. I am glad he is getting a storyline though. And I am glad they stuck with it and didn't go with the traditional Hollywood ending of having him show up at the last minute.

Tina got lines!

I've never seen WSS so I have nothing to compare this too, but I thought it was well done. I loved the America number. Santana did great. I loved Rory's "accent" and the fact that he was barely in this episode.

Yay for no stupid Quinn/Beth storyline this week!

Re: Glee 11/8 *Spoilers*

  • I'm so glad Beiste got some love.

I'm really over the show tunes.

    I loved Rory's line.

The no socks thing was weird.

I loved what Tina said about her first time. My first time wasn't with H, but it was perfect too. :)

  • Why did they use the movie version of America?   In the stage version, it is only the girls singing and the lyrics are different.   Instead of the boys and girls going back and forth, one of the girls pines for Puerto Rico and the other girls lead by Anita(the character Santana played...BTW she was awesome) make fun of her.

Here's what I mean.   Here's a clip from the movie

And here's a clip from one of the many Broadway revivals when they went on Letterman

But Santana was an great Anita!!!!

  • rory's accent cracked me up!!

sebastian is creepy and slutty and i don't like him. sketchball.

it was 8:45 when DH asked "where's shue?" and i realized i didn't miss him in the least.

how cute were biest and cooter?!

  • I was seriously contemplating dropping Glee from my watch-list and then they had to pull out this episode. I loved it!

Nice to see some drama between Blaine and Kurt. I'm glad it wasn't overdone though. I really love them as a couple.

Finn didn't annoy me as much this episode. I thought Cory's acting was actually pretty good.

Really liked the musical numbers. This is the first episode this season where I've actually gone back and replayed a performance (America).

Hopefully they don't fall back into a slump next week.

This is why I really think they should have come back from the hiatus with this episode instead of last weeks pile of crap. I bet they lost a lot of viewers from that.

I've only seen the movie version of WSS so I was not familiar with the stage version of America.  Both are very good and thank you for posting those links.  I really enjoyed watching both clips!

I was very happy for Coach Biest and Cooter.  I also loved when Kurt danced in between Blaine and Sebastian at Scandals.  The music choices for their scenes were super fantastic for me, I still love Roxy Music and ABC!

  • Last week was a new episode?? My DVR didn't tape it.

I really liked this episode. I just adore Blaine. DH commented on Blaine's outfits in the episode as well!

Kurt's dancing at Scandals cracked me up!!

You didn't miss much. Quinn being stupid. Brittany being stupid. New Irish foreign exchange student aka Glee Project winner being stupid. Santana being mean. Bad songs. Its better to pretend it never happened, lol.

Oh wait, you did miss shirtless Puck, that was the highlight of the episode.

I noticed this too, but I'm a theater geek who was in WSS in high school. Personally, i prefer the stage version of America!

Other than that, I *loved* this episode!

  • I actually really enjoyed this episode. I thought the actual act of sex was tastefully done. I can't imagine the Parent TV Council would have much to complain about (except for the permarital sex part). The songs were nice, though I wish they could have shown more of the actual show than what we got.

Karofsky popping back up was nice, but it seemed a little out there that he would be in a gay bar. Though maybe he made some big leaps with coming to terms since we last saw him.

I enjoyed the lack of Will and Emma and the annoying Quinn baby stealing story line.

I wonder if this was why it was so tame, so they wouldn't have to deal with the backlash as much (I'm sure they will find something to complain about though!). I think they could have done a bit more than they did, it seems like some people don't think the couples actually had sex. I know that they did, but I can see how it might have confused some people.

I doubt the lost the viewers because of the HUGE hype they did for this episode.  Even if someone was deadset on giving it up, Im sure they wouldn't want to miss the "sex" episode.

I loved this episode. It also looks like next week is going to be good, at least music wise.

I love everything Finchel and Satana was amazing this week.  Blaine's manpris absolutely cracked me up.  I loved that he was just dancing along to disco while they were talking about sex and masturbation.  Hilarious.  Also, I'm glad that they showed that Kurt is not as out there as everyone makes him out to be.  He's really sedate (not his wardrobe, but personality wise) compared to the other gay guys they have on the show regularly now.  He was out of place at the bar and they showed that well.

Im loving the Beiste storyline, I hope they keep Cooter around.

Also, I did not miss Shue or Quinn at all.  I am kind of upset we didn't get to see more of Mike in WSS story, but the play was great.  Im so happy they finally had a good episode everyone pretty much agrees on.

I really loved what she said.  With all the hype about this week's sex episode if my DD watched the show (or well understood it she did watch it with me) that is what I would like her to hear about sex.  IMO that is how sex should be.

I really liked the episode.  I missed the pop songs, but Santana was amazing in WSS.  I wish I could unsee the whole Puck Rachel's mom kiss.  I forgot about it during this episode at least.  I agree with the other posters that I'm not a fan at all with where the Puck/Quinn stuff is going.
