Is it appropriate to have a Bosses Day Lunch and have the company pay for it?
Re: celebrating bosses day
Is there really a bosses day?
Seriously?
That's like having kids' day to me.
I thought I might have heard of it before- and then I realized it was because of this-
"Hallmark did not offer a Boss' Day card for sale until 1979. It increased the size of its National Boss' Day line by 90 percent in 2007."
I definitely seem to remember a giant explosion of Boss' Day crap one year and thinking, this has to be a joke/totally made up.
I can't say that in my 10+ years of being an employee w/ a boss I ever celebrated Boss' Day.
I think that if the company pays for some sort of lunch for Secretary's/Admin. Professionals Day, that doing a lunch (that everyone can enjoy) for Boss' Day is NBD.
but I still think boss' day is weird. I mean, I had jobs where I had like 4 boss'- what would I have done then? bought them all cards?
My Cooking Blog
It was in October. One of our offices hosted a lunch for everyone and posted pics online yesterday, so it got me thinking.
