We can't hear our doorbell when we are in our basement. Are there any easy solutions to this? At our old house we had a box that plugged into the wall in the basement that chimed too, but it looks like that is an entire doorbell system. Any simple solutions I haven't thought of?
Re: doorbell help
I think that is what SIL has, the box/plug-in thingy-system that works with their doorbell.
For some odd reason I think there is a wireless doorbell system with 2 bells.. .. ..have you checked out Menards or Home Depot?
We have this issue and we use the plug into wall box that somehow sync with the doorbell. We didn't need to purchase a new doorbell system
Ours is similar. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202209354/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
You can pipe a pipe through your house and when they come to the door, they yell in the pipe to let you know they are there. Something like this but with a longer pipe.

This made me LOL. Can you imagine? I can hear it now "let me in effers!" Also, what a PITA to install, right?
Sorry. I didn't look at the link you included.
It is one of those old fashion ear pieces old people used way back when to hear people. I think the grandpa uses it in the most recent Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
