I'm a mess today
I'm not having a good day at all. For the past few weeks our sweet Marilyn has been doing strange things like obsessively licking her genitals to the point it is raw, having accidents at night and excessive drinking. Our first vet told us it was a behavioral issue so we went with it. After a couple more weeks of this, I knew something else was wrong.
Took her to another vet yesterday and they just called to say her urine has no sign of infection, but is basically water. Of course, I googled it and it is a sign of kidney failure.
Vet wants to see her after her course of antibiotics is done to run some more tests. I'm a wreck. I can't stop crying and worrying. I'm sooooo not ready to let her go yet. Old girl has me wrapped around her paw.

I love, love, love the name Marilyn for a dog!
I hope it's just temporary and she gets better soon.
She was already named when we adopted her, but after a week we knew it fit. She's a beautiful, belle of the ball drama queen who just wants to be loved.
