It's humpday and i'm back in the saddle
Yeehaw. It is good to be home. I can now catch up on the internets (and my diet). and sleep. and seeing my main man. and the ginormous pile of work on my desk...
and I only have today and tomorrow to do it, because I work in a lovely ass office and have Friday off for the holiday.
Anything really important that I missed? Any one else knocked up? Any pregos pop yet?
Any fun plans for this weekend?
Any suggestions for how I can immediately lose the 7 pounds I gained over the last 3 weeks?
xo
Re: It's humpday and i'm back in the saddle
Welcome back travelling friend.
I am pissed off at even the thought of Amendment 26 and Tea Party hands in birth control coverage this morning. That concludes my political thought for the day.
I am hoping to meet Lia and Alison this weekend, fingers crossed my schedule will work out and MFD is available for 5 minutes. He works pretty much all weekend. Otherwise I will be hausfrauing, planting bulbs and cleaning up flower beds, cooking, and going out to party it up with a lot of friends on Saturday which means I will spend most of Sunday sleeping.
Last night I went home, walked for 25 minutes with Leslie, then walked the dogs with MFD and we took turns going in to vote. Back at home, I read the hideous Sandusky grand jury report, and looked for my Relay USB drive to no avail. ***. Three years worth of ***. I am fucked, must start all over again. BALLS.
I watched Gossip Girl and Hart of Dixie on DVR and read a mag in bed. I was snoozing by 10:15.
Relay meeting tonight in South Philly.
fingers crossed for you as well, both are wonderful couples to get to know!
also, so sorry to hear about the lost USB. SO HORRIBLE. gah, wish I could help!

Welcome back Shauni!!!
I informed J last night that I refuse to leave the house this weekend. We have been going-going-going and I really just want to sit home, clean up, do laundry, watch TV, and cook dinner (BBQ Cranberry Turkey meatballs here I come!!). I am so sick of PB & J every single night for dinner. Well Mon-Wed anyways, but it's enough.
Last night I sucked down my glass of wine and went to bed, woke up after one of those "real feeling" dreams completely upset because in the dream someone was trying to kill my cat. Then said cat woke me up at 4:30am (I may or may not have forgotten to feed her last night) and I wished the dream had been a real-life event.
I did not get out of bed this morning until 9. Such a lazy azz.
Welcome back Shauni. It's rainy and gloomy around here today. I got up and got a bunch of stuff caught up around the house that I have been neglecting in the evenings.
I am anxiously awaiting the mail today so I can get paid and go to town to get groceries and the like. Our fridge is literally almost empty. Salsa, sour cream, cream cheese, condiments, is basically it. We went and grabbed burgers last night instead of scrounging around for dinner. I also have to pick up 5! dishes to etch that were ordered from my etsy shop last night. WHOO. I am SO excited that it's starting to pick up it's not even funny.
Steph, I discovered Monday night that my external hard drive (that has basically my entire computer life since college- 8+ years) is malfunctioning and will only give me the option of formatting which will delete all files. I took it to my little brother who somehow had a few options available with his mac so he's attempting to recover the files for me. I told him I owe him a pizza if he gets them all back. I could probably get most of the pictures and documents back if I hunt for all my old backup CDs and the like, but I don't want to. I don't know if I have backups of my music or not. Talk about a mess. I totally feel your pain.
Woohoo, Shauni is back! hope you can catch up on sleep and sexy time with your man this weekend.
Had my first u/s appointment yesterday and am exactly at 6 weeks today, stupid ticker is off even though I put my edd into it. whatever. After the appointment, we took our dog to a dog park, which was closed for maintenance. super fail. Went to lunch, got home and vegged out. We did end up taking her to another park later at night; she got some good sprints and was pooped the rest of the night.
Today is payday. So I need to figure out dinner menu's and grocery list. Also more rain is on it's way tomorrow night.
ETA: fixed my ticker!
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
Jealous of all these meetups. Le sigh.
WAH was crazy yesterday as I was prepping for a 9am meeting today. Between phone tag with my boss, conference calls with Europe (I fear my next cell phone bill) and crossing i's/dotting t's, the day flew by.
After K got home he replaced the screen door while I ran to the bank and UPS store. Came home, fed, bathed & dealt with a cranky baby, folded two loads of laundry, did dishes, made dinner. Was told I need to get out of my 'funk'....then K went upstairs to watch tv and eat ice cream while I washed bottles and unloaded & reloaded the dishwasher. *crickets chirping*
Pot roast in the crock pot for dinner and tomorrow is my Friday as I'm heading to DE with my mom to visit a family friend and get a jump start on Christmas shopping.
It was raining here this morning when i came to work. I mean like sideways rain. That has now turned to snow. First snow of the year. Supposed to be 1-4 inches. yuck! But if it does it now, maybe the roads won't be so bad when I leave tonight.
Today is my work baby shower. More people are coming than I was expecting which is nice. :-) However, I brought a cheese/sausage tray and when I went to go get my water bottle out of the fridge someone had put my said tray almost vertical so they could shove their bowl of something in there. REALLY!?!?! If it's on a tray, it's probably supposed to be flat you assbags! Ok, that's the hormones talking (well, not talking, but allowing me to not hold back).
Last night was last birth/parenting class. On the way home J says "I'm disappointed in the class. I was expecting to see more boobs tonight." (since it was all about breastfeeding. He's so special some times. :-)
Steph - damn missing USB. Hopefully it turns up soon!
Today is all about grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, tearing down Halloween decorations and putting up winter decorations. It is never ending! I hate that DH and I are so busy because the house gets ignored for the entire week and then everything needs to get done in a day or less.
Currently doing my meal planning and am stuck in a rut. Anyone want to share favorites, especially some slow cooker recipes?
Currently in the slow cooker:
3 lb chuck roast, carrots, potatoes, an envelope of onion soup mix and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Cook on low for 8 or 9 hours. It's lovely.
I'm trying this next in my crock,it's a friend's recipe:
Spray crock with Pam, place boneless porkchops on the bottom (I've got a large crock, so I can fit six), peel and half potatoes, mix a large can of FF cream of mushroom soup, 16 ounces of FF sour cream, a heaping tablespoon of minced garlic (not dry), salt, pepper and chives and in a large bowl, mix that all with the potatoes. Pour potatoes over the chops, set crock on low for 6-8 hours and viola - it's really good.
