For those of you who are looking for a new job, what sites are you looking at to find potential jobs? I want to make sure I am not leaving possible sites out that I should be searching.

Re: Job search ?
Thanks ladies! I have been checking those suggestions out. My job is pretty specialized and we are the only office in the state that does what we do. We have a contract with FDEP so there is no chance of keeping my same job/title and just finding another company to work for. I really think I am ready for a career change, but don't really know what I want to do and I am looking at all possible jobs in the field which I have 2 degrees and really anywhere that is hiring and seems to fit the skills I have. Here I am 33 years old and don't know what I want to do, how sad is that?
What are thoughts about jobs on Craigslist??
Do I have to join Twitter to see such jobs? I don't have a twitter or linkedin account yet.
Do you have local job site? I'e gotten most of my jobs from our local site.
I also use careerbuilder and I check the company websites that im interested in.
I follow a local PR organization & they are the ones who tweeted the jobs. It takes some monitoring, but you might get leads that way. Having an account would make it easier to keep track of the various accounts where you may get leads.
Ditto Indeed and monitoring the career sections of company where you would like to work.
I'd start creating a Linkedin profile ASAP. I found my job now through Linkedin (actually they found me).
I don't know if this is sarcasm (disregard if it is) and maybe I'm in the wrong here, but I would not apply to a job from CL. A company I would want to work for (and especially a company where you have opportunity to advance like you mentioned) would probably not advertise on CL.
Ditto the LinkedIn suggestions. The first thing I did with this new company I'm interviewing with is to look up the head of HR and the head of Marketing to see if we had any shared connections.
As far as Craigslist, I would have thought the same as LB, but I believe that is where my BIL found his current job. They had it listed other places as well, but that's where he came across it. He's basically their head of IT, so I guess it can't hurt to look there.
ETA: For LinkedIn I was also able to look up the person they said would be calling me for the interview and after seeing their credentials, I realized I am more qualified for this position than I realized...which in turn has relaxed my nerves a bit. It's really a great resource.
