Pantry storage containers

Has anyone invested in storage containers for flour, pasta, rice, etc. for their pantry?

If so what do you use and where did you buy them?

I think I need to do this- I would prefer containers that are mainly glass.

TIA!

Re: Pantry storage containers

  • Pier 1 and The Container Store.  The stacking ones work best.
  • I have some glass containers from Target.

They're glass rectangles with metal lids. The only plastic is the seal. They have varying sizes.

I use mine for bread crumbs, splenda packets, sugar and pasta. I keep flour and bisquick in the freezer. I saw live flour bugs (in a sack of flour) once and it skeeved me out. I always keep flour products in a ziplock in the freezer now.

We got pantry moths (which can get into unopened foods) a few months ago & started freezing all of our "dry goods" from then on.
