I don't know about you, but I can't wait for Thanksgiving! It's definitely my favorite holiday. Post a pic of what you are looking forward to eating the most on Thanksgiving!
Re: PIP Wednesday
There is nothing I WON'T eat at Thanksgiving dinner, but I definitely look forward to the pies! And yes, I sample ALL of them. Who cares? It'll be another year till I have pie again!
Sweet potato casserole with mini marshmallows. This is my absolute favorite dish and my mom has to make it every year.
ROAST TURKEY! I used to not be a fan, but I found a recipe on Food Network's site last year for a turkey that you brine for a day or two before, and then cook it differently (super high heat for 30 minutes, then low for a few hours) and it is AMAZING!!! It is the single most 5-star rated recipe on ALL of Food Network (not just their Thanksgiving stuff).
Here's the link:
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/good-eats-roast-turkey-recipe/index.html - And watch the videos with it if you decide to use this recipe! Gives a lot more important information! : )
I love putting cranberry sauce on the turkey. Yes, I like the cheap canned stuff, but I figured that I would at least post a am elegant picture.
Shaun's Mom's sweet potatoes! LOVE!

Pumpkin pie!!!! I absolutely love pumpkin pie, but DH does not like pumpkin (he must be crazy) so I don't usually make it at home.
Although, I am bringing cheesecake to Tday dinner again this year (since it's my specialty).
My mom always has to make a different dessert for me because I'm the only one who doesn't like pumpkin pie and I usually ask for cheesecake!
OMG, I just drooled all over my keyboard. That sounds FABULOUS!!!! Too bad we have to travel about 45 min for Tday or I would so be making this.
Sweet potatoe pie!!!! Yummmmmmmmm :-)
OMG yes, I used to have a great recipe for sweet potato pie and I haven't made it in years. I might have to make it this year. Or just...next week
If I can dig it out, I'll share it.
