Spin off: Christmas Cards
Since most of us signed up for the card swap....
Will you make your own? Where?
Do you just buy them and add your own personalization at the end?

Re: Spin off: Christmas Cards
I didn't sign up for the card swap. I just feel like I have too much on my plate right now and don't want to be "that girl" who doesn't send hers out.
I do however, wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!
This! I didn't want to commit when we are moving so close to the holidays and don't really have an address right now to send it to, and probably won't until the first or second week of December. But Merry Christmas to all!!
Will you make your own? Where? I usually find one that I like on Etsy, but this year I will probably just go with shutterfly or something similar.
I probably will, not sure if they will be Christmas or New Year's this year though, I guess it depends on if and when I order them and mail them. I usually do photo cards of some sort and use a current photo from sometime in the last year. I usually wait for some sort of sale, one year I think I got like 50 flat photo cards for like $4 shipped from one of those mom deal sites, I think it was through Fuji Photo or something like that. Last year I know I did Shutterfly for less than $20 for 50 or so cards.
If I do it this year though, I'd like to do a newer photo, since Tony has been gone for 10+ months we haven't been able to take very many recent photos together. I was awful when he was home for R&R and didn't take one pic, and we did dress up a couple times to go to nice dinners. I don't think I'd use one of our Germany pics, I'd really like to take a nice holiday themed photo when we go to The ICE exhibit in a few weeks in DC. I'd have to see if we can take the pic, order the cards, have them arrive, and then address and mail them all out before we move, or before we leave to see family the week before Christmas. I also usually include a little "this is what's happening in our lives letter" in with the card.
I'm thinking of using something like this to send out after Lucas is born. For the card swap I'll probably use store bought cards and just add something personal inside of each.
Will you make your own? Where? I designed my own using the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio program.
Do you just buy them and add your own personalization at the end? The design was all finished and then I ordered them through Costco since you can do a blank card and get envelopes with it.

We're doing store bought cards this year. I hate spending a lot of money on cards because we send so many. All of this year's Christmas cards were bought on clearance in past years.
