I set a timer on the fridge that tells me it is 22 days until we have to hand over our house keys to the new owners. Very exciting stuff! We are starting to pack everything up already. Moving is great!
Problem is, we don't have anywhere to move to yet. We decided to rent instead of buy another home, but rentals are Really hard to get in our city. We have been looking for about three weeks already, and have found three houses that we liked, and been turned down for all three. It's not that we are bad people, there are just SO many people applying for the same houses, sometimes 30 people wanting the same place. Plus we have a dog, and no rental history because we owned our home.
I am getting a little concerned we won't find anything in time, and will end up living in a cardboard box!
And funny moving stories or your prayers would be helpful.

Eeeek girlie. That would freak me out too! Ok I know it's not helpful to say that, but I'm trying to commiserate.
Finding a place to rent in SF where I am is verrrrry hard as well, and sometimes people do a month to month lease just for a temporary thing until something better comes, or they stay at a sublease for a while, or even acquire a roommate, just to avoid the cardboard box scenario. :-( I KNOW you'll have better fortune than this!
The thing is, everything happens in the way its supposed to, so that means that the houses you've been turned down for are not where you're meant to live right now!
I have no amusing stories to share, but I can certainly keep you in my thoughts and prayers GL!
Thanks Lindsay, I did wonder if you had seen the photo, since I know your dogs are so close to your heart.
She is doing okay, finding it hard to lick the spot, which I think is frustrating her.
We are trying to find the owner of the other dog so he can pay for some of the damage, as the law states he is liable, but I don't know if we will be able to get in touch with him. It was just horrible how it just went for her throat and wouldn't let go, and there was just nothing poor Stella could do!
