How much do bridesmaids alterations go for? I think i was almost ripped off
i just went to a local cleaners on ridge to get my dressed hemmed and taken in the guy quoted me $125 and wasn't sure if he could even put straps on.
That's more then i paid for the dress. I am about ten seconds away from hemming this dress with tape. i seriously still have to buy shoes and cannot afford anything near that price.

I went to Nilah, and it was $50 per dress. She took them in so well I didn't even need a bra, and I'm a D cup. She also sewed on the straps.

i would for the hem but i'm more concerned about the bust.
Mine cost $80 for my sister's wedding in NY last year. They did the hem and took in the bust a bit

ugh ugh ugh. the guy didn't even properly pin the dress so i felt like he wasn't the best at all.
i just called nilah's recommendation and they can't give me a price over the phone but i need to get this dress to someone asap.

If you're willing to venture back into South Philly, this woman is really good. She's not cheap, but $125 sounds way too high.

Dude. I sent my girls to Nilah for their alterations and they were charged $120.00 EACH for alterations. I had a freaking breakdown because the dresses were only $140 to begin with and I felt so bad for sending them there. I wanted to die.
Maria altered my wedding dress. She is fantastic. Right at 12th & Moyamensing. I am not sure what she would charge for a BM dress. Also try Bambi's at Broad and Porter.

Can you cut the dress after the wedding to make it a cocktail dress so you could wear it again? JK
