Today I am wearing a shirt that is from a VS pajama set. It is just a regular short sleeve scoopneck shirt so it is fine, but just weird to think that I am wearing something intended as sleepwear to work. Oh well.
I have Friday off of work and am torn on how to spend it. Part of me wants to sleep in, be lazy and catch up on my TV shows all day. I also want to go shopping, to get an early start on Christmas shopping and also to look for some new shoes and jeans which I need desperately. I feel like it would be practical to spend the day cleaning and organizing at home, which I haven't done in ages. I also could spend the day visiting my mom or grandparents. This is so dumb but so frustrating. I feel like I never have enough time to do everything, so I want to spend this free day in the best way possible for me, but it still doesn't feel like enough time! I think this means I need to schedule myself a staycation.
I always thought I could live in a one car household, but one of our cars is at the end of its lifespan so I am trying to drive it sparingly until we get a chance to trade it in and buy a new car. It feels so restrictive to be stuck at home when my H is out late at work. I usually like to go out and run errands and stuff when he is working late and now I feel like I shouldn't because I don't want the car to die because I had to make a trip to Target.

I hate the word "fabulous". It makes me think of some idiotic SJP wannabe spouting it off.
During a recent discussion, I found out that DS is the only baby left in his play group who has not had a kids' meal from Chick Fil A yet.
My parents arrived last night and my mother had nothing nice to say about me or my house. At least she said DS was soooo cute and beautiful.
Punky, LOL, I think I used the word "fabulous" several times to describe your family photo shoot! And sorry to hear your mom wasn't as "gushy" as she could have been. Hope the rest of the visit is fun though.
bostonbaker, I totally hear you on wanting to use the time in the best possible way but not being able to figure out what that means. A day off always flies by so much faster than a work day, too--it's frustrating! I say go shopping during the day, then maybe do some organizing while you watch TV in the evening.
I want to start my own business but have no idea what that business should be.

Rock, do you want to start a business as a full time job, or just something on the side? You are brave either way. I have no desire to take a risk like that, but I admire people that are able to make it work.
I want this week of work to be over so badly, I just keep saying it. I am just done here.
I still have a lot of packing to do and no motivation to do so.
I am sick, DS is sick, and DH is away for the next week and half. I'm not a happy camper.
I want it to be a full time job.
I know someone whose wife did this and they work on a small online business together (and he still maintains a regular FT job working for the man). It initially started because she wanted to stay at home with the kids they were planning but still wanted to replace her six-figure income. They live in the SF Bay Area so they really could use the two incomes.
A year in, they cleared a six-figure profit and have grown each year. And it's not a complicated business but somehow they've made it really, really successful.
I figure I'm pretty smart and have more experience examining successful businesses than most. I should be able to do that, too. Only I haven't. Blah.

Thanksgiving is already stressing me out. Up until I had a baby my parents did not care to spend any time with me at all. Now that I have a baby all of a sudden my Mother is all over me. She already has started guilting me about not eating Thanksgiving with them, and I want to SCREAM all the reasons why we won't. I am really trying to hold this all in.
Lil went to bed late tonight because she was having too much fun dancing to the music on the CMA's. She was just too darn cute so we had to wait for a commercial.
I hate looking for boots. I need a new pair of snow boots but can't find a pair that I like. I want something that is comfy, warm, fashionable, and will stand up well to water and snow but think it's time to start compromising.
The full moon is coming. I can tell without even looking at the sky. Every day it gets more and more obvious at work.

Oh, work. The kids have just had WAY more energy than normal. I've turned around to see the most unexpected things ... twirling in circles down the hallway, hanging off the wall, climbing the wall (literally, feet off the floor).
Definitely get that on video!
