Clicky: What should I wear?

SIL is taking some pictures of us on Sunday, and I'm hoping to use one for our Christmas card. I just can't decide what to wear. (Like any time we take pics, I just plan my outfit and then coordinate Robin. Wink)

The location is a old Spanish style courtyard. I thought about wearing my red coat, but I can't decide if that's too passe for a Christmas card. Maybe something more neutral is better.

This is really NBD at all. I think that's why I'm unsure. You know, the whole cute, but not trying too hard pressure.

Re: Clicky: What should I wear?

  • Personally, I like seeing red attire in a Christmas card. But I guess thats just me since most everyone voted for the eggplant :)

What would Robin wear if you went with eggplant?

That's how I was feeling -- I voted Red as well!

I did too, for just that reason.  Red is holiday cheer-y.

  • I said the white with the grey boots.

When I think of Spanish structures the colors are always really warm, oranges, browns, reds, etc... so I didn't vote for the red coat because I thought it might blend in too much. In a white sweater you'd probably really pop against all those warm colors, plus white is wintery to me.

  • I am in love with red coats, so I voted that. White sweater was my second choice.

No idea yet. Maybe a brown sweater, maybe some shade of blue.... I think eggplant would look pretty against the bricks.

I think I'll just show Robin the red coat and eggplant ensemble and make him pick. :)

If I do the red coat, I might wear the white sweater underneath, so really I have two options.

  • i was going to suggest doing some coat on and coat off ones so you could use the no coat for whatever and then the coat for your christmas ones. but i wasnt sure how many changes you wanted to do.

  • I'm one of the people who voted for eggplant. I feel like it probably still won't be very cold where you are, so the red coat might be overkill. The eggplant outfit seemed like it was the least "trying too hard" of the looks.

  • I had a tough time choosing between the eggplant and the red coat. My first thought (like MB/Mary/Stees) was the red coat, but then I thought that the card itself may be mostly red/green/white, so I went with the eggplant. It's different.
